Purple Inspiration, Pinterest Style

I always relate the color purple to the month of February
After all, purple is the color of amethyst, February's birthstone.
That being said, I'm "opening the door" on purple inspiration, Pinterest style!

A purple tablescape!

Purple wine hock from my hutch.

My favorite mulberry transferware!

Purple sweet peas from my garden.

Lilacs from my garden!

A purple bathtub?
Why not!?

How about a mulberry colored stove and backsplash!
Oh so pretty, but I'm not that brave!

I do love this pretty purple and pink floral chandy though.

An amethyst rock from South Africa. Gorgeous!

I love this vintage amethyst ring.

Purple. Such a gorgeous color.
Such a brave color. I used to be afraid of it, and still don't wear it.
But I do love to create tablescapes with purple dishes and glassware.
And of course, flowers in the garden. Purple hydrangeas, lavender, sweet peas and lilacs are a must.
Oh, and I love amethyst jewelry!

How do you feel about purple?

In recent years I have become a purple lover! No where to sneak it into my pink and green house, but I have bought blouses and scarves, shoes and purses! My favorite picture is your green majolica pitcher with your garden lilacs! Simple and beautiful!

I have loved purple since childhood. Just bought an 1880's green majolica mug yesterday...can't wait for the lilacs to bloom. Thanks for the inspiration.

I find that I flirt with purple, but I hesitate to embrace it. It's a color that I don't seem to have a problem editing. Your photos are beautiful. The chandy treatment is spectacular. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

I love purple! Of course I was born in February, so Amethyst is my gemstone. We are moving this spring and my new draft room will have ever so gently lavender walls. Just barely not white. After all it will still be a guest room at times.

Delores my mom's birthstone is amethyst and she has that same exact ring. My grandparents gave it to her when she graduated high school.

In fact I just bought some purple tulips to go with my yellow and purple pansys! I think we are going to have a Spring day today 75 degrees, crazy good weather!! happy Wednesday,Kathysue

I love purple, always have. It's an easy color to work into my home. It goes well with green and I use it in bits and pieces around the house as a fall and spring accent.

I love purple on tablescapes, too. I see it so much in design lately...with more gray tones.

I've loved purple since, well, I was old enough to have a favorite color. I'm told that for my 5th Christmas I asked Santa for purple pants, purple shirt, purple barbie, and purple hair.

So, I still love purple, and wear shades of it regularly in the fall and winter.

Love your selections for this post.

The color is inspiration for sure! Also my birth stone. It is so hard to pick only one color from Mother Nature's Palette isn't it? especially when it is the guest of honor in a feature? These are gorgeous. I have 2 lavender bottles I keep on my window sill with crystal toppers and when the sun hits them, its delicious. :D

I love purple in nature - those sweet peas! - but shy off it in materials. That said, I would accept the purple AGA with open arms!

Delores,
So pretty. Our youngest son is a February baby (not a baby anymore) and I have always enjoyed seeing the beauty in images such as lavender and grape colored transferware. The table setting from pinterest is so amazing.

I love it! I have always worn it too and always receive such nice compliments when I do. You reminded me that I have an amethyst ring that I never wear anymore either. I will have to pull it out. Purple must be coming back around in popularity again because I have gotten several customers asking if we sell purple table linens and bedding and we just got in a huge shipment of purple sheets. I love your purple tablescape and all the beautiful pieces that you have on it. It's beautiful!

Beautiful inspirations pictures. Lilacs are one of my all time favorite flowers, but I can not think of a purple flower of any kind that I don't like! Nice post.

Amethyst is my birthstone, so I have amethyst jewelry and purple clothes. But, I'm not sure how to work it into my decor. I wouldn't have thought to put purple flowers in a green jug, but I absolutely love it!
