What Are You Looking At?

"What are you looking at?"

This little squirrel must think she's Cinderella or something, waiting for the pumpkin to turn into a carriage!

As if!

No matter, she's going to the ball anyway.
Make that a banquet!
She is one happy squirrel devouring this pumpkin.
And that's what happens when you leave the pumpkins on the porch too long in this neighborhood!

Oh my goodness! I have stopped using real pumpkins for this very reason. I had pumpkin guts all up and down my stairwell and railing. They are so cute though!

I love your post! This has never happened to our pumpkins until this year. Ours is half eaten and still sitting on front steps. My kids won't let me get rid of it because the squirrel is really enjoying the pumpkin buffet. I think I can only look at it for one more day.

Those are great pictures of the squirrel getting into your pumpkin! I've heard other people say that they have the same problem. Funny thing is...we have squirrels all over the place here and I have big pumpkins on the porch as well as little ones on a bench on the side of my house, and the squirrels have never bothered them!

So funny, and great photos. Our squirrels have never bothered ours. We have a lot of oak trees, so maybe they prefer acorns.
