My Favorite Majolica Plate


I absolutely love this piece of majolica! It is a somewhat rare Victorian Majolica Etruscan piece depicting an Old English Sheepdog with his house and bowl. I think he looks like my Dexter!

I don't mind having this reproduction majolica vase sharing the table with the antique majolica plate for my table top vignette. The shell frame fits in nicely too! It's all good!

    Delores, It is absolutely stunning. I think that's the most beautiful majolica plate I've seen! I love the dog theme which I don't believe I've seen that on majolica before either. I could so get into collecting this!

    What a great plate. I like real majolica as well but alas, it is $$$ but it has a patina that the new stuff doesn't have! A really neat plate!
