White Iceberg Roses are the most popular white rose ever, and in my opinion, the most perfect rose!
The standard tree version is one of my favorites. I have them planted along the sunroom window and when the window is open, the aroma is wonderful.
The uniformity of all-white roses is very pleasing to my eye. The boxwood hedge keeps them framed and orderly.
Iceberg roses are a lovely companion to the fountain too.

What makes the Iceberg rose so perfect?
They are prolific bloomers, blooming all summer long. They are also disease resistant, quite hardy and have a soft, sweet fragrance.
In Asti, my Iceberg roses have been left to their own devices, unattended and unpruned, proving just how hardy they are.
They will grow up to 5 feet, forming a hedge if allowed.
Although they aren't the best for cutting bouquets, I do it anyway. Just having them last for one night by my bedside is a special treat!

Oh I love these! I ordered them once but they never came back after the winter. All the white makes a great impact- their supposed to glow in the moonlight too! That's what Jackson & Perkins said anyway! love the picture with the kitty! I just picked up all white begonias for my garden area, my son is getting married this year and white seems to be on my mind! Your boxwoods loook great!

I love them! I'm planning to take 6of them with me to Florida. I hope they like Florida, we have some here in California. I always have some in my master room, they so romantic. You have a beautiful garden and home too.

Oh, my! These are gorgeous and what a marvelous fragrance they must give you. Just yesterday I brought home a Ice Berg rose standard tree. Deciding where to plant now. Wish I had purchased a pair for pots on my front porch. Perhaps they still have another. ;-)

Your roses are delicious! So beautiful! I love icebergs because they always seem so graceful and gentle but yet they are so wonderfully hardy. Your gardens look spectacular.
ReplyDeleteDelores, Your Icebergs are lovely trained to standard,and in beds with boxwoods which go perfectly with your home, but I love them best at your Asti house in their lush and casual, "doing their own thing" form... a lot less work keeping them maintained, too. :)

ReplyDeleteOh Delores, this is so gorgeous!!! I would love to grow roses....again. In our first house we had over 30 rose bushes, GIVEN to us by a man who worked at Star Roses near us!!! I was in heaven! Now, living in the darn woods, I can't grow them and miss them so!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing yours!!!! I THINK I can smell them:):) XO, Pinky
