Sweet Peas Gone Wild


The sweet peas have their very own raised bed! Every year they take over with wild abandon.

Soon, I will rip them out and plant zucchinis, but for now I'm enjoying them in all their purpleness.

Their sweet scent is intoxicating and immediately fills the room with fragrance.

Can you smell them?

I'm going to call this windowsill vignette, "Still Life With Sweet Peas!"

    i haven't grown them in ages, i so love them, but so did the deer... old fashion, pure pleasure, what a treat to see and smell them again~

    Sweet Peas are so "Sweet"!!! and Oh So Pretty... Who can resist them for ALL their splendor! AND your herbs are "Delicious"...Of Course you have made me hungry now and I'll have to go indulge in a culinary combo of your suggestions!

    This is a weak-kneed post. I can jus imagime the aroma and the purple sweet peas are femine and ladylike pretty!
    YOu have captured them beautifully in the white bucket.
    My sweet peas are less than a month away!

    Yes, I can smell them! I know 'Joy' is meant to smell like sweet peas, but there is nothing like the real thing.

    I love sweet peas- we have them growing every year too- and yes, they do take everything over- but they are soo pretty! Your vignette is gorgeous. :)

    Your sweet peas are gorgeous! I planted them last summer for the first time in years and would cut small bouquets for the kitchen windowsill. And, that was last August! We haven't even got leaves on the trees yet! I enjoyed your other recent posts as well. I love your new outdoor light! Blessings, Pamela

    Gorgeous! I need to remember to plant sweet peas next year. Yesterday I saw some at the flower market, but they were $12 for a small bouquet. Thanks for sharing the beauty! ~ sarah

    Oh how I wish I could grow sweet peas! As a florist we used them alot in arrangements! They smell so sweet and are so beautiful. Your purple ones are gorgeous!!! Hope you ahve a wonderful Mother's Day!!!! XO, Pinky

    My daughter in law used seet peas for her bridesmaids flowers and your post reminded me of them. Next year I plan to plant seeds and try my luck. Yours are beautiful.
