Did you know that St. Patrick used Ireland's native shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity?
That explains why the clover is so important to Ireland and representative of St. Patrick's Day.
After all, it was St. Patrick himself that brought Christianity to Ireland back in the 5th Century.
I Love St. Patrick's Day!
It's fun to wear green, drink some Guinness and make corned beef and cabbage for dinner!
Even better, I love showing off all my shamrocks!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Adorable! Have a lucky day!
ReplyDeleteHow I covet your Belleek. Beautiful. Happy St. Patrick's Day! laurie
ReplyDeleteI loved St. Patrick's Day, too, when I was growing up in Astoria Queens, a neighborhood mainly Irish-Italian...I am from Ecuadorian background. We all wore green and buttons: Kiss Me I'm Irish...even if we weren't! Astoria now is a Greek neighborhood, lol...I love all your beautiful shamrock pieces, lovely! Thanks for the story of it too. Hope you visit my shamrocks too. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
