A "Merry Christmas" Mantel

It's been a busy week--shopping, wrapping, baking, more decorating and attending holiday gatherings.
So, before the season ends and the plants die, here is my holiday mantel reveal!
I anchored the ends with live plants, paperwhites and mini trees in red urns.
Cedar garland and faux candles complete the look along with my tartan Merry Christmas banner that I absolutely love!

All those battery operated candles are simple and easy.
They can be enjoyed every night without too much hassle as they're on a timer.
Plus, I found a few that are on remote control!
I wish I had invented these as they have almost replaced real candles in my life.  But not really!

We have been spending more time in the living room, enjoying the holiday season.
I feel like Christmas is upon us as of today.
Are you ready?

  2. Your mantel is very festive. I purchased the candles on remote and love them! Mix in some burning ones around the room because nothing beta a real flame!

  3. So pretty and no, I'm not ready. Have not wrapped a single gift. Have to buy groceries, possibly bake and clean the house and make two big pots of chili this weekend.

  4. Almost ready for the holidays. We will be celebrating my son's birthday tomorrow night, (my "baby" is 29 today!
Gotta go marketing for it, on top of girls night out tonight!
Love your mantel, so warm and inviting. Got some great battery operating candles at home goods, real wax so only use indoors. Love they have timers! Still burn regular candles, but usually just in one or two rooms or I will forget!
Have a merry Christmas and joyous new year!

  9. Your mantel is so pretty. Flameless candles are so nice to have. I'm finding I'm using them more and more, especially the ones with the timer. I even found some window candles with timers. I'm ready for Christmas, except for deciding what to have for Christmas lunch for the two of us. We'll have supper at my aunt's house with lots of family and homemade egg nog. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas.

  14. Hi Lesa,
The tartan banner came from Target, several years ago. Pottery Barn has a silver glitter one available now you might check out! Merry Christmas!

  15. Delores, I just pinned your mantel photo. '-)
I always do something different on our mantel, but it is never an easy decision. I like to keep it simple, just greens, candles, and perhaps a touch of gold or read. Love the idea of the mass of candles in the middle with the greens and the urns on the ends. I already have the tartan banner. Imagine that! '-)
Hope you are enjoying the holidays. All the best…..Sarah
