"Life is meant to be lived fully, and enjoyed deeply, and our homes are the great backdrop upon which our lives unfold. They are where we begin and end each day. Any room in which we spend time should feed us, nurture us, and improve the quality of our lives. People are what bring rooms to life." --Barbara Barry

Beautiful room. So warm and inviting. Love it all. Hugs, MartyReplyDelete
Now that's my idea of a living room - looks so comfy and cozy.ReplyDelete
Your home is one of my very favorites in all of Blogland. It is not only beautiful, but warm and friendly, both inside and out. Have a great week. Lori LReplyDelete
Can I come over? It looks so pretty...and warm...like somewhere I would like to hang out for a while. I am going to have to do some rearranging!ReplyDelete
This is a room meant to inspire!!!ReplyDelete
Such a warm and inviting room! I love all the soft brown and beige tones. Looks like the perfect place to gather! Happy Sunday!ReplyDelete
Delores I do believe that just sitting in this lovely room would re-fuel my spirit and a nice latte and a visit with you would be perfection, Hugs KathysueReplyDelete
LOVE your room and the feel it evokes.ReplyDelete
would happily spend time there in an instant
Beautiful AND welcoming!ReplyDelete
I just love your cozy living room.ReplyDelete
Your room is clearly designed for people. I can imagine visiting with friends in it so easily!ReplyDelete
I think that I'm going to put that on my fridge! (Although, I think I've heard this quote before....) My very first thought, though, was that your home looks soooo hospitable. The warm glow is very inviting but I, also, think that, somehow, it looks like a place where warm visiting occurs! What a lovely expression!ReplyDelete
Love, katy Noelle
lovely quote and inspirational! verbena cottageReplyDelete
I have done this exact same set up in my den! It is why I have two matching couches, club chairs and round tables. I loved the look, only I just couldn't live with it! So, I rearranged to what I have now. I am much more happier with my setup now. Even though it doesn't have the "look" it is how we live and that's what counts most! Great post! Maybe, all I really needed to make it work was this fantastic coffee table. LOL! Just kidding! Beautiful room!ReplyDelete
Delores: Gorgeous pictures and WORDS. I will pop over there as I am a lover of GREAT QUOTES, especially when they are paired with inspiring pictures. Happy Monday! xx P&HReplyDelete
SUch a pretty, comfortable, warm, and inviting room. I agree with your chosen quote, and also that furniture, art, candles, soft fabrics, great floor coverings, books, and music make the room, too!
Hope you had a great weekend.

What an inspiring quote, your room looks like a wonderful place to spend some time each day.ReplyDelete
Love Barbara Barry and your room...and I just know it comes with a great glass of wine!!!ReplyDelete
That quote is a favorite of mine :-) Beautiful room~ReplyDelete
Amen Sister! I can't not understand these people that don't take care of their homes. We live in a modest 25 year old home but I always made sure that it was a comfortable, pretty place to be. My girls loved their home and ours was the "hang out" for all the friends. If you wanted me to just curl up and die, force me to live in a dirty, cluttered , ugly place...ReplyDelete
It is indeed so important to really make of home of your house!! To feel comfortable and happy!ReplyDelete
Warm, cozy pictures here that show the meaning!
What a wonderful, cozy room and a great defination of what home shoud be!ReplyDelete
