Under The Arbor And Dreaming

The arbor is at its best during the month of September, and this year is no exception with clusters of grapes just begging to be picked.

There are so many this year that I will be making grape jelly for days!

Some are still ripening...

...another week and they'll be ready.

They are probably the sweetest grapes we've ever tasted.

The family of quail can attest to that.
They're taking shelter from the heat and eating the fallen grapes too.

Under the arbor and dreaming of a glorious September and abundant grape harvest.

    The arbor and grapes both look amazing. We have vining roses is ours that have just started so it will be a few years before we get the arbor covered. Wish I could help take some of those grapes off your hands for you! - Tonya

    Delores the arbor looks beautiful clothed in the vine, its going to just get better and better with the arrival of autumn. We had a vine in our last house but the grapes were so so sour, I'm sure not a patch on these shining examples. Lovely!

    Your grapevine is so fully laden with grapes . . . . wow! I would be happy to help you in the kitchen with the jelly!!! No charge!!! I love caning fruit and did blueberries this year and peaches. . . jam. What a joy it is to go to the cellar and grab a hostess gift! Never have to shop fora special gift!!! Everyone I have ever cello wrapped a gift for has been so happy to receive at the other end. Love, love the arbor!!

    I can almost taste them myself. That family of quail know what's good don't they? They are no fools. Ha ha.
    Some of those bunches of grapes look so heavy it's a wonder they are still hanging on.

    How wonderful to have all of those delicious grapes hanging from your beautiful arbor! My grandparents used to have grapes, and I loved going out to sample them each year. I'm sure your grape jam will be amazing.

    Gorgeous arbor and those grapes sound delicious. What variety are they? I love the fact that the crepe myrtle adds a lovely pop of color.

    I used to think our grapes were Concord grapes, but later found out they are Black Monukka from Italy.
    They're beyond sweet!

    That view is breathtaking...I just cannot imagine having a beautiful arbor with grapes ... and the cute quail underneath!!...So very, very beautiful!

    We have climbing roses on ours. The grapes look delicious and Ithose quail are darling. Great photos!
