The Academy Awards are on tonight, and I can't wait!
I love the red carpet, the gowns, the speeches, and am looking forward to the new host, Seth MacFarlane.

Which home would you give the Oscar to?
And the winner is: Practical Magic! :D
ReplyDeleteLove this post!
I believe, without a doubt, that the winner would be Something's Gotta Give!

The winner for me is Father of the Bride..but it doesn't mean the rest are winners too! I loved your idea of the "best house" nomination. Such fun post, thanks!
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Something's Gotta Give! With Mrs. Doubtfire and Practical Magic close behind. Happy Oscar viewing!
ReplyDeleteHands down, it would be Something's Gotta Give in the Hamptons. I dream about that house. '-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Something's Gotta Give. Love that house.
ReplyDeleteit's complicated
ReplyDeleterunners up:
somethings gotta give
practical magic, so sad it was torn down afterwards
I don't think I could decide. So many great choices.
ReplyDeleteI never knew the Marley and Me house was in Chadds Ford!!! That is about 15 MINUTES from me!!!!!!! I am there all the time and now have to go find this house!!!! They are all amazing picks, Delores. Have fun watching, it is starting NOW!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI' ve never heard of Practical Magic! Why in the world did they tear it down??? It's so gorgeous!!! My ALL TIME FAVE will ALWAYS be Somethings Gotta Give!! Followed closely by Father of the Bride, Home Alone and It's Complicated! Oh, and love Steel Magnolias! But for the houses themselves….it's Something's Gotta Give…for sure!!! Love this post! Great fun!
ReplyDeleteFather of the Bride would be my first house pick, then Home Alone as the supporting role.
ReplyDeleteI love the kitchens in both Practical Magic and Its Complicated..the outside is great too
ReplyDeletePractical Magic for me. For that fabulous kitchen!
ReplyDeleteHow funny that most designers remember a movie by the interiors and architecture? I certainly do because I knew most of them. What a fun post! Great idea.
ReplyDelete"Something's Got to Give" would do it for me with the side benefit of being in Southhampton.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
Father of the Bride! Thanks for the fun review.
ReplyDeletePractical Magic gets my vote! I believe it was torn down because it was built simply for the movie - alas, just a set. The kitchen scenes are wonderful - my dream kitchen.
ReplyDeleteFor me hands down the both Nancy houses Somethings Gotta Give and It's Complicated!
ReplyDeleteI would totally give the Oscar to the Father of the Bride house! And I loved that movie, too!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne
It's Complicated - love that house and the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteoh, that look at houses was so much fun. I love the "something's gotta give" house - inside and out.
ReplyDeleteI love the house from home alone.
ReplyDeleteSomething's Gotta Give
ReplyDeleteToo hard to choose. But if I had to it would be the house in Somethings Gotta Give. I live in Seattle and didn't realize that the house from Practical Magic was built on San Juan Island. Too bad they tore it down. Thanks for another great post.
ReplyDeleteWow, interesting post! I can't decide a winner. I think I would chose Something's Gotten Give.
ReplyDeleteClever blog post.
such a shame that the practical magic house was torn down.
