Recently, I changed the wallpaper. This was a big decision. Should I paint? Should I go neutral with grasscloth? Should I transition from the apple green entry and pick a damask? I chose the damask. It really lightened things up and I think the brown floral drapes and captains chairs still go with it. In my attempt to lighten up, the rug was rolled up and down went a large seagrass rug. Christmas will still be lovely in the new dining room. In the meantime, here it is staged for fall.

You have a eye for mixing pattens, not many people can do that. 5* love it, both ways!
Thank you for that comment. Sometimes I think I should just do away with all color and pattern! But wait: isn't that what's trendy right now? The Gustavian look? Linen slipcovers, seagrass rugs? I have to admit, I'm smitten with it. Color makes me so happy though!
You have a very pretty dining room. I like both wallpapers....Christine
Oh my gosh!! My heart skipped a beat when I saw your room in the red toile!! (toile-o-holic here) The mix with the brown florals was so wonderfully unexpected! Don't hate me but I prefer the toile..... That said, your room in the green damask is absolutely gorgeous too! Vanna
I love the new wallpaper!Relates so well to the hall color and makes the whole room pop!

Delores, I think I'm your biggest fan too...we could be style shopping sisters! I am perusing your home via your blog and we have so many similar/same items and taste. I to love mixing patterns...your dining room is gorgeous with the red toile and the green. I see a Rural Scenes tablescape (I collect the Poly brown as well) and your Johnson Brothers Harvest pattern...beautiful. Your home is just gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by my blog~
