If I could just be a mouse in our daughter's pocket!
She and her husband are celebrating their one year anniversary in Edinburgh, Scotland today.
She sent a few photos my way to torture me!
Lovely street signs...
...Castle on a hill
...tartan, tartan, tartan!
She knew I would love a photo of a tartan factory.
Talk about torture! Oh, I wish I was there!
I can't think of a more romantic anniversary, can you?

Deloris, Edinburgh is one of our fave place we traveled to, and we have even considered for years buying a property outside of Edinburgh. The White Stag is our FAVE all time pub. We have been to Edinburgh three times, and my son turned 12 there. One of the times we were there, they were having the The Tattoo at the Castle, and the special guest star was a Marine General and friend of ours. (we did not know he was going to be there) and they played the National Anthem. All the Americans stood up and it was very moving. Very romantic, indeed! Thanks for the memories. :)
Oh, how I love Edinburg!!! I lived there as a child! These are stunning images!
How wonderful, I hope they have a great time and enjoy their anniversary! And I hope they bring you back some tartan! :)

Go when it's warmer, and when the days are longer Delores - hire a car and drive around, stay in unbelievably cosy bed & breakfasts and have porridge with cream, and strong tea. Taste single malt whisky, and marvel at a red post box right beside a standing stone. Watch the sun set over the islands and look for kelpies...
Wow, it looks wonderful! I would love to visit too!
=) Brooke

Torture? Sweet torture, I would say.
What a wonderful way for your daughter and son-in-law to spend their anniversary. They sure get around. Good for them. How wonderful to be footloose and fancy free.
Oh, my goodness! Has it been one year, already?!!!!
Answering your question: No, I cannot think of a more romantic anniversary destination than anywhere in the British Isles. sigh. =] Especially, this time of year. I had one moment, this past week of actually having a serious daydream of being in Scotland! (which I don't do all of the time; so.... it's just so funny to see this.)
I'm so happy for them!
and, what a fun post! =]
