Eye Of The Day

I love French Anduze pots, and even wrote a post about them here.  They are rare and expensive, most of them imported from France.
A fellow blogger, Jermaine from French Kissed told me about Eye of the Day in her area of California that actually imports and manufactures these beauties.

Now Eye of the Day has expanded to northern California, so last weekend, Mr. A and I stopped in on our way to the wine country to see their pottery.

They have some beautiful Anduze pots, along with Italian and Greek terracotta pots too.

Although still quite expensive, it's nice to know they're available and they can make any color and size to your specification.
My favorite, if I were to choose is the rustic green color.

It looks like it's a 100 year old antique!

It occurred to me that maybe the reason why I love these pots so much is that they remind me of majolica.  They are the same colors; golds, greens and blues.

The "flame" finish especially resembles majolica.

Eye of the Day has a beautiful website here.
Be sure to check them out to see all their beautiful pottery, fountains and garden accessories.
In the meantime, I'm saving up for a pair of antique Anduze pots for the front porch!

They would be such a beautiful show piece in the garden or on the patio wouldn't they.
Even a base for a lovely round glass table top if you got one of the giant ones. Wow.

Cant wait to check them out! I love them, too and we brought back several mustard colored ones like you showed when we went to Provence…not to mention dishes as well! I still love them today! Thanks for sharing this!

I remember the first Anduze pots I saw in carmel at Pierre Deux, I fell in love with the gold and green. They were not nearly as expensive back then as they are now!! I should have bought them back in the day. Thanks for this new resource!!! They will look amazing on your front porch!! Just beautiful,

I love these pots ... so gorgeous. Its funny that you would say that they remind you of Majolica, which you love. Me too! My favorite one of these pots is that grayish green beauty. I suppose it would go better with my gray house here in Oregon. Thanks for sharing.

These would be perfect on your front porch. Don't have any of these here, but they would look good on our terrace. Thanks for the resource!

Hi, Delores -
I share your passion for Anduze pots (and majolica ware). I especially love the mottled green glazed ones. They look so charming with a bay laurel or olive tree.
Cheers from chilly and rainy DC,
