Apparently, March is coming in like a lion this year.
That's ok with me. I love a rainy day now and then.
I just hope March ends up going out like a lamb, as the saying goes...
I foresee many trips to the nursery this month. Kind of a March madness that I go through every year. I tend to rush Spring!
Yesterday, I started with the front porch. Pansies filled the empty urns.
Now I need to replant the black urns with Geraniums and Morning Glory.
Ahhh, the promise of Spring....

My pansies and violas are still giving a show, so I don't want to pull them out just yet. I do want to get more geraniums soon. The extreme heat of last summer took everyone of them in my garden. Enjoy your weekend. ~ Sarah
your front yard is gorgeous!
Love the yard...makes me want to be in California!
Such a beautiful garden. Mine could use some freshening up!
Beautiful...indeed!
Your front yard is spectacular, Dolores!!!!! You have inspired me to make a trip to the nursery and plant some pansies. I am SOOOOO ready for Spring. It is beautiful here todsy, up to 60 a little while ago. LOVE this mild winter we have had. XO, Pinku
Is that ivy growing up the palm trees???? Love it!
Ah-h-h, me too. Like a rainy day once in a while that is. I've been known to sigh (at check-out counters, etc.), " What a beautiful day..." and, get a befuddled look from the clerk, or whomever.
A rainy day gives me a chance to slow down a bit, snuggle in, and even take time for reflection or planning.
Have a very lovely day, Dolores.
How utterly beautiful! Makes me so excited to do what I can! Don't blow away :-)
That's just plain beautiful.
March came in like a lion here too. It wasn't too bad, but it did rain and thunder all day. I was doing the happy dance about it all day. Come on rain...Come on rain...
Delores it is the opposite here, It is nearly 70 today!! In Kansas City!! My concern is the out like a lion part!

Kat :)
My pansies bloomed all winter long, very unusual and are still at it, so they will stay for a while yet. I went looking for geraniums yesterday to no avail, sigh.. I am ready for spring. I will trade you one dust storm for a rainy day... xo marlis
Your yard looks so green and gorgeous! Mine just got an inch of slush dumped on it and there will be no trips to the garden center anytime soon :(
Delores,
What a pretty front yard you have and your street looks nice, love the blooming trees across the street.

Hi D! Would you believe I bought tulips and violas two weeks ago and they are sitting in the containers in the pots on the porch, yet to be planted?! Shame on me, the tulips are already withered and blooms are gone. I think I had better take your lead and get to planting. Your yard is magnificent and what a lovely view from your front porch, heavenly! Enjoy these rainy days, looks like the sun is winning today here in Calif! Happy Weekend! xo Kathysue
Delores, My mother used to have a beautiful blue morning glory on her front porch and I would watch for a new bloom every day. I think I will plant one on my deck this spring. We have a little snow now so I will wait. Just the pansies will go in this weekend. And you have a beautiful yard! Inspiration is always found at your blog!! Linda
OMG!!! This is your front yard? Unbelievably beautiful. I thought it was a nursery until you mentioned the planters.
All the best...Victoria
How pretty Deloris. You are inspiring me to try filling my planters with pansies here in Michigan. Warm weather is being predicted so I just might give it a try.
