For my Easter table, I've been trying to come up with a way to sneak some tartan in, since National Tartan Day is tomorrow, and still have the table say Easter.
By adding the reticulated floral plate on top and a purple charger underneath of my Ralph Lauren plaid plate, it somehow worked!
I used my tried and true purple stemware.
The centerpiece containers are yellow.
The colors are more vibrant than the typical Easter pastels, which is what I like.
The flowers pick up all the colors in the place setting.
I love how candlelight makes the colors even more vibrant.
Beautiful cutwork linens from an estate sale keep it formal.
Yet the little Bordallo Pinheiro egg cups add a touch of whimsy which the granddaughters will love!
Each place setting has its own egg cup with egg candle.
Is it weird to add tartan to the Easter table?
You probably already know that I don't think so!

Leave it to you to use plaid in an Easter tablescape! Just love the unexpected! I think it looks great because the colors bring it all together. I love those green candlesticks too (think I have mentioned that before) and the purple goblets are so beautiful.

LOVE the tartan touch for Easter! It works beautifully "AND" it "ALWAYS FITS" especially if it "Makes YOU stand back, observe, AND SMILE"! This made me smile too! LOVE those top plates, are they Italian??? I have some Cups and small dessert dishes that seem to have the same pattern...LOVE THEM! I didn't get to my tartan table this year, "I'll HAVE TO for next"!

Delores, the tartan absolutely works! What a wonderful way to add a touch of tartan. I used my pastel plaid cloth on our table last year, and am trying to sneak in a bit of tartan this year. I'm running behind on setting a table for Easter, but hey I still have a few days! LOL
All the elegant plates topped with the reticulated plates make a gorgeous statement, and the centerpiece of the basket and side topiary is perfect. Love the whimsy of the chick egg cups with egg candles and that sweet little bee on the tapers. You are on top of the details!

I don't think it's the least bit weird to add a bit of tartan to an Easter tablescape!!! It's actually quite cool!!! This is absolutely gorgeous and will serve as an inspiration to a lot of people looking for a beautiful tablescape for their own Easter weekend entertaining. Truly, truly beautiful!!!

Delores your table is wonderful! The Tartan just adds so much interest...and I love it! The flowers are so beautiful with everything.
I'd like to do pretty tables when all of our family is together, but there are 20 of us...and sometimes more, and we often do buffet style and use disposable plates!
But when I have smaller groups I like to set a pretty table.
