The Candles Are Lit

Guess who's coming to dinner? You!
Come on in!
The candles are lit on the table and all around the house.

So take off your wrap and make yourself comfortable!

We have a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape waiting for you.

There is nothing more romantic than a candlelight dinner, don't you agree?

Especially when the location is unexpected.

The jasmine is even more pungeont now that it's dark.

And the air outside is still warm and smells sweet from all the blossoms.
A reminder that spring is just around the corner.
Bon Appetit!

(Scroll on down if you missed this tablescape in the daylight!)

What lovely pics! Funnily enough, I've just spent the last couple of days making up a large candle order for a client: the kitchen currently smells of grapefruit and bergamot (pillars) and lavender and sage (little French Picardie bistro glasses used as votives). I'm just sitting down to take a well-earned break...!

LOVE your unique plates... LOVE the entire table scape and especially the UNEXPECTED venue!!! I had a friend that hosted a "sit down dinner" and had more guests than her house could accommodate... so she set up a table in her master bath and floated candles in the jacuzzi... it was the most coveted dinner table that night!
you are truly one creative lady and thanks for sharing your 'avant gard' creativity with us!

You are right that it's wonderful fun to set a table and to eat in an unexpected place. It's like a secret adventure - as thrilling as a picnic but in a much more breathless way. Thank you, Delores! I haven't done that in ages - I forgot - but, now....will do! =]
