Christmas Eve Morning

The table is set for tomorrow's Christmas Dinner. There will be 14 of us this year and trying to fit everyone was a challenge. I decided to forego the Christmas plates and use my transferware instead, varying the green and red.

My Welsh cupboard looking very Christmasy with the Mason's Vista, majolica and Paperwhites

The morning light is so beautiful that I decided a take a few more pictures around the house. My sunroom with the view of the redwood outside.

Pinecone urn in the entry. I'm hoping the poinsettias last one more day!

The Christmas tree in the entry.

The mini Christmas tree on the family room credenza decorated with family photographs.

In the living room, behind the sofa is this victorian urn, inherited from my mother-in-law, filled with paperwhites.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for a healthy, happy 2010.

Dear Delores,

It's Christmas morning here in Australia and I am up early to put the turkey in the oven, everyone is still asleep and I have just received the most wonderful Christmas present that I could imagine to get. "Your comment"

What can I say, thank you so much for your very kind words and I can feel that 2010 will be a good year for me and I can finally get my books done. However I must be thankful for where I am right now in this wonderful blog world, surrounded by beautiful and suportive friends.

Have a wonderful Christmas with your family, your home and table looks amazing. I adore what you have done with your window and yours urns!, wow they're beautiful, the urns at the window are georgeous and your last image is very beautiful with the last light on it.

Thank you so much again and may 2010 be a year of filled with Health and Happiness for you and your family.

This is my first visit to your blog, your home is stunning, and your tablescape is beautiful. I collect red transferware too and the beautiful green "cabbage" dishes. It's so fun to find another tablesetting enthuisist! Your family looks like they love being there, which is the best gift of all. Merry Christmas!

What a spectacular Christmas setting! I ♥ the alternating colors of the china & stemware. Very creative & much more interesting.
Your flowers & photography are just awesome.
Thank you so much for sharing your home & family with us. Both are beautiful!

♫ Merry Christmas ♫

Your decorations are beautiful! Love the urns with the moss balls. It was hard sitting everyone around my table this year, and my youngest Grand had a melt down when he thought he could not sit with the "big people". Gotta work on the situation.

Delores,

Happy Holidays!

You're home is just so lovely. You are so true to yourself, especially when it come to decorating. I love the Sister Parish quote on your home blog page and I try to think about it when I feel I'm starting to decorate for trends only and not myself.
