My Lucky Day!

Today is my lucky day! This lovely burlap wrapped gift, all tied up with lace arrived in the mail today! An early birthday gift?

Well, not really a birthday gift. I won this wonderful book, The French Inspired Home from Penny's giveaway at The Comforts of Home.

I'm so excited to sit down with a cup of tea this afternoon and peruse this book full of eye candy.
Just flipping through quickly, I realized this book has everything I'm loving right now.
This photo reminds me of my collection of bird nests under glass in my sunroom.

Hello? Dogs, tartan, faux bamboo, vintage books and clocks, oh my!

There is a chapter on the art of display. That cow looks like the one I bought from Joy at Savvy City Farmer! And I'm loving the bone handled knives displayed in this photo.

What can I say, I love everything in this photo. The hutch, the silver domes and ironstone.
The table!

Love the wrinkled burlap runner in this tablescape...

...and the wrinkled linen slipcovers on these dining room chairs.
I know what I'm doing this afternoon! Reading The French Inspired Room by Carolyn Westbrook!

I love Penny's blog, The Comfort's of Home. Be sure to visit if you haven't already and say hi. She and I love all the same things and have a similar style. You won't be disappointed!

Thank you Penny for the early birthday gift! I really appreciate this book and will treasure it for all it's inspiration.

Delores,
Today definately is a cup of tea and a book read kind of day. Our weather is getting ready to take a turn for the worst snow storm of our season for this area, yet! I've been "feathering the nest" with a few new vignettes On Crooked Creek.Thank you for a sneak peek at your new book!
Fondly,
Pat

I have this book and have been known to carry it from room to room all day never putting it down. This one and a certain Nell Hill book are my faves and remind me so much of you. Enjoy!
When are you going to write a book?
