Pre-wedding Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at the wedding decor I'm designing for our daughter's wedding next Saturday. This is a mock-up of the centerpiece for the kiosk tables. I started with a log slice, added a succulent ring, a canning jar with pebbles and a candle, then tied little wooden tags with the initials A + C carved on them.

Terrain
For the 90 inch round tables, I am using potted white hydrangeas in bark covered containers.

Etsy
They will sit atop log slices with small pint canning jars holding candles around them.
All the linens are burlap colored linen.

Presidio Trust
Because the upcoming wedding and reception will be held in a log cabin, I'm keeping with a rustic theme, which includes canning jars.

Pinterest
Canning jars as candle votives are apropos, but also necessary as the venue requires candles to be set in glass, two inches below the surface.
I'm just glad we are allowed candles!

Canning jars also proved to be the perfect bottle for the homemade beer!
For more canning jar inspiration, read Ashley's latest post here.
Stay tuned for more wedding sneak peeks coming up!

This is going to be so pretty. How nice to have that in a cabin. We paid way too much for where our daughter got married and had her reception. Good thing it was in 06 before the economy sank. She would had to come up with something way different.

Delores, the evening is going to be magical. Love the theme of rustic elegance. You are the perfect hostess to pull this off. The bark container, the little votives in the canning jars, and the added touch of the wooden heart tag ~ each make the perfect statement. Can't wait to see photos of this beautiful wedding.
Take deep breaths and enjoy every minute. ~ Sarah

Wow, this is going to be so much fun! You've come up with some terrific ideas (as usual!). I'll bet your mind has been going 100 miles a minute for a while!
Your header at the top looks wonderful, I wish I was able to make changes like that on my own- but I don't know how!
Happy Holidays!!

Thanks for all the compliments on the header. To be honest, I did not come up with it, but a friend was kind enough to design it and offer it to me. So sweet of her! I don't think I could have designed it on my own!

I am loving the wedding sneak preview, love the casualness and on burlap tablecloths, FABULOUS!!!!! I bought burlap tablecloths last Spring when I did a garden party and will use them for a very long time. The look can be changed up and look so different. Girl, you were the inspiration for that. Actually, I can't believe you are posting on your blog and you are just a week away from the wedding, you must be super organized.

Hello Delores,

I just noticed you a new follower of my blog. I LOVE hydrangeas of any color! I like to dry them IF I can catch them at the right time.

White hydrangeas for the wedding will be gorgeous and I also love the boutonniere. The twine is a nice rustic touch.
