Sunday Morning In The Garden

What a glorious, spring day yesterday! We spent our Easter morning in the garden drinking coffee and enjoying the warm air, blossoms and sweet scent of the pink jasmine.

Mr. A even brought out the cushions from storage so we could soak up the sun.

This is my favorite time of year when the garden looks its best.

In a few weeks, the Cecile Brunner roses will be blooming, covering the arbor, aka the "tunnel of love."
I can't wait!

I spy some lilac blossoms!
Why didn't I plant more than one lilac bush?

Bear is suspicious that a certain Easter bunny has been in his yard.
He has already found a few eggs laying around!

Yay, Reese found them all! (With Papa's help!)
Have a wonderful week! I know this weather won't last....

Delores, your garden looks beautiful, I look forward to following it through the Summer.
Those urns planted with Sedum look great. I have urns at the top of my garden shopping list this year but as yet haven't seen one that fit the bill.

What a sunning garden!I can only imagine how much work you must put into it for it to look so good! My ideal garden I think.
I've just planted my first seeds here since I arrived in Florida 3 years ago. I've had a lot to learn about gardening. I miss my formal English garden and seeing yours takes me back. Thank you. I hope to see an abundance of color in my own backyard this Summer ~ fingers crossed. Hugs, Sally xx

Delores,
Your yard, as always, inspires. My Cecile Brynner is already blooming but it's just those few degrees of difference between Northern California (you) and Southern California (me). You're right, I believe they have forecast rain for us on Wednesday. Still, enjoy it while we have it, right?
Karen
P.S. Your granddaughter is darling.

What a beautiful yard and isn't it the best that you could sit outside in the morning and enjoy 'a cup' in your outdoor morning room!!

Love your blog and visit it almost everyday!

In Minnesota, spring in the garden
means you are introduced anew to some plants you've actually forgotten over the winter (winter is long here). It's really fun, and it makes you excited for what's to come!
