Gardening Is Good For The Soul

Our raised bed garden has exceeded our expectations.
When we came back from our month long road trip, we couldn't believe how much it grew!

It went from this...

...to this!

It literally tripled in size.
This garden is the best thing ever.  It's literally good for my soul!
Every morning, I come out here with my coffee and water and putter!

In the evening, Mr. A and I pick tomatoes and cucumbers, herbs and lettuce for our dinner.

Mr. A even made tomatillo salsa from our garden which was amazing, especially on top of sea bass or even steak.
I wish I could say we grew the asparagus, but maybe next year!

Your garden looks great! Asparagus takes about 3 years to grow. It comes back each year.

Does this garden have an automatic watering system? Just wondered as you said you were gone for a month. Am looking into one.

Hi Judy,
Yes the garden has automatic drip. I still like to water by hand though. -Delores

Your garden looks wonderful! I too started raised bed gardening during this pandemic and it has been the best habit/hobby that is rewarding and good for my soul. Somehow digging in the soil and compost since last March has also conditioned my nails to grow strong, long and healthy too, which is something I’ve never had.

Your garden is fabulous, Delores. And, I love your furry photo-bomber who looks to be enjoying it every bit as much as you are. We added raised beds with our outdoor renovation ... I need to research winter veggies. But, my big plans are for spring. I really like how you connected the beds with a wire arbor. I'm going to follow our lead. xo

Your garden looks amazing! I too have raised beds, and was wondering how did you secured the arched arbor?
