Collecting Ceramic Honey Pots

When I was young, my Grandma Carrie gave me a ceramic honey pot. I treasured it so much. Over the years, I would find one here and there in junk stores, or an antique store and buy it. Eventually, I ended up with a collection! So, for Show and Tell Friday, I'm featuring my honey bee collection!

This is the one my Grandma gave me way back when.

My Mother-in-law gave me this precious one. It is old Belleek.

Then I found these Belleek "wanna bees" later that were made in Occupied Japan.

As you can see, I have alot of "wanna bees" in my collection.

These two pots were made in Western Germany by Goebel.

A Goebel "wanna bee." Probably made in Japan.

The group of yellow honey pots on a pedestal.

I love these two brown pots! They go nicely with my majolica.

A tabletop vignette of brown, gold and tan honey pots.

Besides the honey pots, I also have other bee hive treasures. Like this pitcher with the honeycomb relief in green and yellow. I love the twisted handle.

And this little pitcher, also with a cool twisted handle.

Or my everyday creamer and sugar set.

There is even this brown tea pot which is a reproduction.

And this is where most of my bee hive collection "lives!"

I hope you have enjoyed my little "show and tell" of my honey bees.
I'm joining Suzanne at Privet and Holly for "Mrs. Magpie's Collector's Edition."

Hi Delores,
Oh those honey pots are fantastic. What a great collection! I love honey in my tea every morning and at tea time, but I don't have such a cute way to dispense it. I put mine in a little jelly jar from Germany, but your pots are just wonderful. I will have to keep my eyes open for one!
Everything is displayed so beautifully, your home is really wonderful!

What a pretty collection! They are displayed nicely in the hutch. I think I found the bottom of one of the golden brown honey pots at GW. I thought it would be cute with a votive. Joan @Americana By Candlelight

Delores, the pots and your display are adorable............and I love honey. Acacia honey with fresh baked figs, yummy. My latest addiction is Trader Joe's Greek yogurt with honey - but I'm going to have to mix it half and half with the fat free version because it's very rich....and, dare I say it, fattening!!!

Delores, Your collection is wonderful, and I absolutely LOVE your shelves with the green paint on them! It looks like it may be a cabinet. And of course, I love the way you have it arranged. I wish you would show me something I don't like at your house. I'm starting to get a little jealous! laurie

Delores, you have
such an elegant way
with all that you
touch, including your
beautiful collections.
This one is so sweet
and very unique. What
touched me most was
that it started with a
piece that came from your
grandma : ) So lovely.
Thank you for joining
my first linky party and
letting us have a tiny
peek through your window!

We have been collecting honey servers, especially skep shaped ones, for 20 years or more. We raise honeybees and collecting honey servers seemed the next step. We try to find one on every trip so many of our servers remind us of special places. I do really like how you have displayed yours and your special collections. Enjoyed it very much. Queenbee Diann
