How Does Your Garden Grow Birthday Boy?

Our vegetables are taking their sweet time maturing this year. I think it's because we had so much rain this Spring and not much hot weather so far this Summer.

We are getting a lot of blossoms, but no zucchini. No worries, we will just stuff them and fry them! Nothing better than fried zucchini blossoms!

We finally got tomatoes, but they are still green. Hopefully, they will turn red.
Otherwise, we will have fried green tomatoes!

#1 Son Aaron loves this little garden. Here he is picking herbs for a recipe he is formulating in his head.

Today is Aaron's 26th Birthday!

Not much has changed, has it?

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Happy B-day to Aaron. I want to know what he ended cooking.
My brother in law is having the same trouble with his zucchini plants too. My poor tomatoes are barely growing. It has been sunny here and really hot but our spring was so bad that everything is behind about a month.

Happy Birthday, Aaron! You must be wonderful because you appreciate your veg and have a creative soul to make something out of it. Yes! That just means, plain and simple that you are wonderful! =]

Delores, have any lemons? You could make lemonade to go with the stuffed zucchini blossoms and fried green tomatoes. Yum, yum, yum!

Love, Katy

Our tomatoes here in Ohio have just begun to turn red. We picked 2 big baskets with the g'kids help yesterday. I'm roasting some today. Be sure to try Cathy's recipe from Wives with Knives...it is AWESOME!!
