I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!

I love the idea of an all white Christmas!
Holiday greens look really fresh when they are accompanied by white ironstone.

Or white slipcovers and painted furniture. The room above feels like it could be in Sweden!

There is a wonderful simplicity and elegance to white Christmas decor.
That's why I love using white flowers around the house this time of year. They look so great with all the greenery too.

This is as close as I've ever come to a white Christmas palette.
Our home in the wine country last year didn't get too gussied up. Just a couple of burlap stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

At home, the simple white narcissus I bought at the wholesale nursery last week that are decorating the mantels and kitchen have me dreaming of a white Christmas.

Lovely! All those green wreaths really pop against the white background so that texture and the wreaths are the focal point.

Your home in Asti is always breath taking, I love it soooo much. I agree white at Christmas is so peaceful and serene. Like snow in the night, I love the way it can sparkle. I use a lot of white in my living room trying to keep it serene in there, where as in my family room it is full of bright and cheer, fun for the kiddos.
I was at Homegoods today and they had a RL Christmas candle called Holidays in a tartan box, it really smelled good too!! xo Kathysue

Delores,
Calming, peaceful, and tranquil. . .a breathtaking White Christmas. Is that Bing I hear crooning in the distant background?
Thank you for such an easy~on~the~eyes Christmas decor!

Dearest Delores,

Those fragrant Paperwhite Narcissus are one of my favorites! They give the interior a heavenly touch... Something that is uplifting for Christmas. On December 13 of last year I wrote my second blog about them.
Christmas should not be too white though; it is about warmth foremost.

Have a great week and enjoy whatever you're doing!

I love the look of all white Christmas decor, too! I've had that for years. Now, I'm suddenly enamored with reds and greens again, probably because I'm loving tartans, too! xo Lidy

I love the whites too...and had whites for several years. This year I am back to color. I love how each person does their own thing and we can appreciate and enjoy what others do. Love your stockings- simplicity at its best! Hugs-Diana

Your home looks beautiful and elegant, Delores. Very peaceful. I like your burlap stockings with the trim in red. Where you did you find them?

I agree with you. I love the serenity of white. Your home in Asti is beautiful and the burlap stockings are perfect. In fact, they make a wonderful statement.
I love it.
When I see white for Christmas
decor it makes me think of a snowy New England night when it becomes so still and quiet you can almost hear the snowflakes hit the ground. There is not another quiet like it. Makes you really believe in Peace on Earth.

Sometimes less is more. Looks lovely Delores. I have very little white in my home. The lighting here is not very warm through winter and the white doesn't look as nice.

I've always wanted to do an all white Christmas but my family prefers the color and all our collected ornaments. Paperwhites are my favorites - and your home looks lovely in its elegant simplicity!

I don't think I would ever leave that room in your wine country home. It is perfection. I love the white linen sofas and the worn leather chairs. My favorite combo. Tell me, are the sofas durable for a family...I am considering having my 2 reupholstered. I am new to your blog and just love it!!!
