Keep Calm and Carry On

Ok, it's December 1st! Don't panic....
After all, having a wedding and Christmas in the same month is no big deal, right?
Thanks to my friend Jenny who gave me this teapot, I have a gentle reminder to
"Keep Calm and Carry On"
throughout the holiday season!

Take the time to savor the moments Delores. Don't let them fly past you while you are too busy getting things ready.
BTW those dogs are soooo beautiful.

Deep breaths my friend, deep breaths.
You've already made it through a kitchen and 2 bath remodels and a milestone birthday for your husband!
If anyone can do it you can :)

Delores,
Wow! I think it would take more than a teapot to keep me calm if I were planning a wedding and Christmas. I would bet you can handle it better than most from what I've seen of your amazing talents. Good luck.

Well I can promise that I WILL "carry on," but I'm not as sure about the "keep calm" thing -- for me, a bit of frazzled chaos is all part of the fun.

Speaking as someone who went into labor on Christmas Day, and got married on New Year's Eve to a man born December 27 (not in that order), I am always mighty glad when January rolls around! I might need that teapot...

I enjoy your blog very much, and look forward to your new posts! My daughter is getting married this month on New Years Eve, so I understand the "keeping calm"!

Loving that adorable little teapot. You always seem to be so very organized so I feel confident that your DD's wedding will go off without a hitch. My DD was married two and a half years ago on a plantation just to the north of us with more than 350 people in attendance. Of course, it wasn't at Christmas time but the best advice I could give is stay organized and focused and let people help when they offer. Good Luck to you and your family, I am sure it will be beautiful.

I promise, you will look back on this month & enjoy all the wonderful memories. My DD was married on Dec. 23rd & it was truly magical, with the church all decorated for Christmas. We even had miniature Christmas trees on every single table at the reception & a harpist playing during cocktails. Such a special time of year for a wedding, however they seldom feel like they get to celebrate their anniversary properly, due to 3 kids now & all the holiday fuss. They wait until later in the winter to get away together.

Sending you ~~calming, soothing vibes~~
Hugs,
Rett

Christmas weddings are filled with a special magic all their own. I know the wedding is going to be glorious. Give yourself some yoga sessions, deep breaths, and relaxing soaks in bubble bath. You'll carry on just fine.
All the best as you begin this busy month. ~ sarah

I have always threatened my children that if they tried a December wedding I wouldn't be there! I am sure I would, but it sure makes me go into a panic just hearing about it. We now have 3 birthdays in December, a grandbaby, a DIL and my oldest daughter. That throws me into enough panic! I agree, yoga breathing always carries me through and taking one day at a time. Good luck!

This is so funny, Delores! 'Keep Calm and Carry on', indeed! It would take too long to explain. (Hopefully, I'll get around to blogging about it.;)) I've been shopping and decorating up a storm for two weeks, now. but, not for me....only a very tiny bit done for me. At TJ Maxx, I found a lovely red tea mug with the very same motto on it for $3. I think that I'll need it.

Delores, this has been such a crazy year for me. Last year, I didn't even decorate MY tree (the traditional one - it's hard to explain - the kids have one, now, too) until after Christmas and that's how it's gone all year long. This year, hopefully, things will be better. They already are! I tell you all of this because, in the meantime, I am so enjoying looking at what you've done and, quite honestly, sharing your joy. Look! I have a big smile on my face! Your home is just lovely!!! =D

Love, Me xxoo
