Sunday was "treasure hunting" day, so Mr. A and I headed to San Francisco to visit our favorite haunts in hopes of maybe finding a pair of bacs à oranger, or Anduze pots for the front porch.
Yes, it was a long shot, but if anybody would have it, it would be Big Daddy's Antiques!
There were plenty of antlers and lamps....
...and baskets galore.
Even tons of inspiration, like this magnificent fireplace, staged with orchids.
Their courtyard always has a treasure waiting. This is where we might find large French pots.
Just succulents and a plethora of cement pots.
I may have to ask Big Daddy himself to keep an eye open for me on his next buying trip.
It's fun to have something you're searching for.
Half the fun is in the hunt! Right?
I know you'll find them and they will be beautiful. Have fun searching for them... who knows what you will find along the way!
Good luck! Let us know when you find them. We built a new patio and I have been very frustrated because I can't find the right pots!
Baskets!! Baskets, I am drooling!! Sorry you did not find your pots, but I know you will. I agree, the hunt is half the fun!! Glad to see you out and about enjoying your wonderful life with Mr. A!! xo kathysue
Yes Delores, the thrill is in the hunt. And there is ALWAYS something to hunt for. ha ha .
Good luck! Terri is right, the thrill is in the hunt!
Should I admit that I've never been to this store but I did see their Los Angeles warehouse in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
The hunt is only second best to taking the treasure home!!
Best of luck...
What a fun store!! Love the baskets display and that gorgeous stone mantle..all beautiful.
Oh, I envy your treasure hunting day with Mr. A. The hunt is definitely the fun of it all. Round Top will soon be here, so I'll do a little treasure hunting soon. ;-)
That place looks amazing - oh, the baskets...!!
Hey D -
Look at the photo of the great mantle/fireplace. There are french pots on both sides. Perhaps not the style or color but I thought maybe you missed these.
Fabulous place and I agree that the thrill is in the hunting!
