And The Winner Is....

1
No, you didn't miss a giveaway!
2
While walking through the streets of Charleston, I can't believe how beautiful the window boxes are.
One more beautiful than the next.

3
I made a comment that they must be having a window box competition.
Come to find out, they are!

If you were one of the judges of the Charleston Horticultural Society Window Box competition, which one would you pick as the winner?

Me?  I pick the first one.
The window boxes at our hotel, The Vendue Inn are just amazing with not only flowers, but Swiss Chard too.
I'm going home with so much inspiration, and the first thing to do is replant my window boxes!

I'm linking up to Savvy Southern Style for Wow Us Wednesday!

I have to agree with your assessment, although I also like #'s 7 & 11. Actually, all are spectacular. Charleston is one of my all-time favorite places to visit. I think you would also love Savannah.

Beautiful Charleston inspiration! Swiss Chard in a window box...who knew. I can't wait to visit nurseries and garden centers and dig in the dirt.

PS: I am adding your link to my current post.

Oh Thank you for sharing your charmed life!!! Window Boxes-11,7,4and 2 are my favorites! I am seduced by the symmetry! I have two big window boxes on the front of my home and right now they are a simple study of Bacopa-but now after seeing your photos-it's time to ADD to them! Thank you for the selfless inspiration!!!

All of those window boxes are absolutely gorgeous and you definitely gave some great ideas (I need to replant some of my own window boxes). From a judges stand point if I were one of the judges I would pick #4. With the black iron box it speaks loudly of New Orleans. JMO. Hope you are enjoying your visit there. I have roots there and there is no other place like it IMO.

I would definitely pick #8. The dripping purple petunias against the rustic window is simply gorgeous!

Each one is spilling over with gorgeous color. I can't single out just one. Makes me want to plant a window box, but it would last long here with our hot days. Could never keep it watered. '-)

With the volume of the foliage in the window boxes you would think it is June. Glorious.

I like the window box with the white hydrangea and full ivy - and the one with the yellow calla lilly.

I love box #2. Gorgeous! Makes me want to make some for my own house. If I only knew how...

Gorgeous.. all of them! I agree, the first image is lovely:) Window boxes are common here in Seattle as are hanging baskets. I've been wanting to set up a few .. and this is incentive to do so! I'll be referring back to this post as the weather improves.

Enjoy your day Dolores!

There's no way I could choose just one. I'd have to have forty different categories and give them all prizes! - Then again, I hate it when they do that to kids in school.- ha!

Hi D! I always love coming home from trips, I will inevitably want to plant flowers in the yard, I always feel inspired after traveling, but with an actual contest going on, I can only imagine how inspired your must feel, I agree, I loved the first one,
