I took a break last week and headed to Asti for perhaps the last warm fall weekend.
Fall is very apparent in the wine country with its red and golden vineyards and the smell of fermenting wine.
Fall also reveals a special light, golden and low in the sky.
I'm struck by the contrast of shadow and light....
"Every picture has its shadows
And it has some source of light
Blindness blindness and sight."
I'm joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Inspire Me Tuesday.
Gorgeous and is that a new little white puppy in your life, what a cutie! The light this time of year is amazing. Around 5:00 or so in our backyard, we call it, "Golden Hour" all the trees are back-lit and it just glows. So much to be thankful for.
Beautiful! I loved the wine country when we visited a while ago.
Delores, could you tell me what month in the fall you visited Tuscany? We were there in the spring 5 years ago and want to go back in the fall. Trying to find the perfect month. Was is September or October? You can email me at pennyscarlson(at)att.net
I just realized something as I was reading new posts. I saw you posted and I got a big smile! Did you know that you have that effect on your readers? When I read the post and saw the photos, of course I smiled.
Beautiful photos! Makes me miss fall in CA... Texas is nice this time of year (finally not too hot) but nothing like northern California. Thanks for sharing.
