Confessions of a Challenged Packer

When it comes to packing, I am extremely challenged.
How many coats, how many shoes, how many black pants?

Wouldn't it be lovely to just ship a trunk with everything you need?

I would seriously pay someone to mentor me while I pack.
But instead, I'm torturing my daughter with text messages asking how many coats, how many shoes and how many black pants!
Do I bring the brown boots?
Do a bring heels?
How about an LBD?

I ended up packing only black clothing and threw in some leopard pieces to shake it up.
And a few tartan pieces, like a scarf and a plaid lined jacket.

The challenge is to be comfortable, yet chic and not look like a tourist.
I'm traveling with three "fashionistas" so I want to blend in!
After all, it's fashion week in Paris!

We're leaving today and I'm humming that song!
"Leaving on a jet plane...."

Sounds like my kind of packing including the black pants and leopard pieces. Can't go wrong with that combo in my opinion.

Enjoy your trip. I will be looking forward to seeing photos and hearing stories.

You have packed black and you're in Paris. What else can matter? If you get out in the suburbs, please describe the aprons, shift dresses the women wear for shopping now. I'm sure they have changed in shape and color at least a little since I was there. What's new on the street that seems a developing trend in Paris? Have a great trip!

Black and layers so that things can mix and match for every need, add a splash of colour here and there.
Leave room in your suitcase to bring something wonderful back from the Paris boutiques.

I do the same thing, pick one main color and add things to mix & match. As long as you can do laundry you can really keep it simple. Who cares if you wear the same 3 outfits the entire time, no one knows you there.
Here are some more tips for next time...

I'm both envious and excited for you. Sounds like you got the packing down and what you don't have or forgot, buy it in Paris!!! Bonne voyage.

You will look fabulous and who cares- you are going to have fun. Just enjoy.

Post pictures of all of you so we can take a peek. It is cold in Paris I am sure. I went the last of March and I wore my trench coat, boots and scarf one day and I was very cold.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

So excited for you! Fashion Week is a fun time to be in Paris. Your images crack me up, Delores. Wouldn't it be fun to own one of those LV trunks?
I've discovered efficient ways to pack through the years. One trick that makes a huge difference is to roll one's clothes. Amazing how much more fits into a carryon. I've also learned to take things that work together, like your black with leopard and tartan. You are going to be so fashionable! Can't wait to see what you have to share.
