Our Garage Gets A New Look

Our garage has been a dumping ground for so many years--a holding area for our grown children's things, our aging parent's things as well as our things.
We periodically clean it out, only to have it fill up again and look like this.
But wait till you see what it looks like now!

Ta-da!
As you can see, we've been very busy!
After many trips to the dump, consignment centers and Goodwill, the garage finally got a clean coat of paint on the walls and floor.
I mean, you could perform brain surgery in here now, it's so sanitary!

There is still more to do, but I'm so pleased with the results, I just had to share!
It's all part of the process of making a huge life change, which I promise to share soon.

Oh the chandeliers just make it so perfect. You could rent it out as a room now.
Seriously though it does look great. Such a clean, useful space.
We know exactly what you went through with this having just done it ourselves.

I'm at work purging closes and cupboards this summer so I can somewhat relate, Delores. I've taken loads to the Settlement Club for their annual garage sale. Feels good! Your garage looks fantastic. You could hold a dance on that pristine floor with the chandies overhead. ;-)

Wow! I thought we were the only ones with a garage like that! Since opening the shop, I haven't been able to park my car in the garage! Always a mess! Your garage is very inspiring! :)

Delores! OMG I am having an anxiety attack! The garage ... how will you live without all that good stuff? OK I know Gary is so happy.
And you are wondering. Don't you feel like a new woman when you open that garage door? Changes are good.
Can't wait to see what is going on in your new home! Hugs to u both...

You do realize you've started a new trend and everyone will want a chandelier in the garage.

My garage looked like your AFTER photo once...the day before we moved in. LOL You'll almost not want to move by the time you get done spiffing the place up.

Great job. Gotta say, I can't think of one thing I've purged that I wished I kept. I got better at purging after marrying into my husbands family. They are good at it and he runs through a garage cleanup about once a year that is so helpful. Good for you!

Wow what a fabulous transformation. Our garage looks similar to your "before" photo and we are hoping to start clearing it in September.
