Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

Parsley, the essential ingredient in tabouleh, that wonderful summer salad that is so fresh and healthy.

Add sage to the turkey stuffing or a full bodied stew.

My favorite herb. Roast little potatoes with their skins on; coat with olive oil, sea salt and fresh rosemary.

Roast pork tenderloin with tart apples and vegetables. Deglaze the pan with thyme infused white balsamic vinegar, then add honey to sweeten.

Have you planted your herb garden yet?

I don't have a "garden" but planted my herbs in a big wire basket. Thyme, chives, sage, lavender too... and a few others.. they are looking and smelling so sweetly right now!

We have a small her garden, but the "chef" wants me to add more varieties. Your post reminded me to get that done! ~ Sarah

Thyme is my all-time favorite herb! The herb garden is going strong: parsley, sage, oregano, thyme, basil....well, strong with questionable basil. I always seem to have trouble with it...

yes, yes, yes.. my herbs have been planted! For Easter, I gave each guest a little painted terra-cotta pot- each with a different herb in it.. boy did my house smell divine.. (until the herbs left for another home..).. love the chalkboard stakes... very CUTE & utilitarian..

Still too cold to plant here in Minnesota! Can't wait to get the garden going.

Don't forget garlic in your rosemary/potatoe recipe. In Tuscany, I had this dish at a restaurant and they added cherry tomatoes and black olives to the potatoes and roasted them all together --delish!
