A Tablescape For Father's Day

This tablescape is in honor of Father's Day!

And specially dedicated to Mr. A., the best father my children could ever ask for!

Hence, the fishing theme on the plates--Mr. A's favorite thing to do!

The chargers are faux bois, perfect for highlighting the plates. Both are enamelware, and were another great find on OKL.

The tablecloth, a tartan wool throw is Ralph Lauren.
The centerpiece is a bouquet of sunflowers and olive branches from our trees in a cork vase.
Found antlers keep it masculine.

The water glass is Ralph Lauren. The wine glass may say "Provence,"

but the setting is California Wine Country!

It's magic hour, when the sun sets the hills aglow.

As the light fades...

...the new pendant casts its own glow.

It's Mr. A's favorite time in the evening because he gets to turn on all the lights!

Happy Father's Day Mr. A!

I'm joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday, as well as Kim's WOW party at Savvy Southern Style.

I do want to visit California wine country so badly. Your posts from there always make me dream about it. What a delightful tablescape to honor your husband using his interests as a theme. My husband shares the fishing and wine interest and the Provence glass caught my eye right away. I finally got around to posting three posts on our Provence trip and I did not get through one full day of things we did. I would also like to tour the wine country in France. Maybe, some day. Have a wonderful Father's Day Weekend!

Delores --

I am going to do a fishing theme table for Father's Day as well. I think our lakeside setting is beautiful, but I wish I had your panorama over the wine country. Magnificent!

Beautiful! Very masculine for Mr. A! Love the background as well. We live in Silicon Valley and get up to Napa and Sonoma to look at it's beauty as often as time will allow in the fall as I love the vineyards when they are turning colors.

Delores,
What a wonderful way to honor Mr. A! I adore the lure dinner plates and the natural linen napkins have to be my favorite of your tablescape. Your setting is stunning. I can clearly see why it's Mr.A's favorite!
Fondly,

Great table. Perfect for celebrating Father's Day.

I tried to purchase those chargers from OKL but had a devil of a time. I ordered them. They confirmed the order. They seemed to take forever to come. After 3 weeks time I inquired. They said they were coming but their delivery process was slow. Then several weeks later I got an email telling me they couldn't send them -sorry. It's nice to see that someone got them.
