August Full Moon in the Wine Country

There is something quite romantic about a full moon on a summer's eve.

Seeing it rise from behind the Mayacamas Mountains is always breathtaking.

So on a gorgeous August night, once again, I attempt to capture the beauty of time and place.
It's not possible, at least with my lens.

But it was fun trying!

We were trying to take a picture of it here too but the trees blocked our view.
Great shots and I think you captured the magic just fine.

Yes you did capture the magic! Ours is always behind or coming through so many trees it is very difficult to photograph! XO, Pinky

I think you did a GREAT job of capturing it, Delores! Beautiful photographs & the poochie is cute, too.

We had so many clouds, we couldn't see the Perseid meteor shower at all. :-(
However, we did get lots of cooling rains from those clouds so I'm not complaining...too much.

Hugs,
Rett

It's been so beautiful here the past few nights, too! I knew better than to try capturing the moon with my cell phone camera. Wow! Yours is awesome!

Wonderful job of capturing that moon. It was gorgeous here too, but Austin isn't Asti. ;-)

So beautiful! I love these photos especially the ones through the arbor of vines!

Also loved the table setting on Sunday! You are so right...use the good stuff everyday! You are worth it and so is your family! Life is too short.

Have a wonderfil day.

You captured the moon at it's full-faced best! It reminds me of a great big luminescent pearl!

We can so agree with the pictures. Somehow what you see and invision is not transcribed with what is captured in the lens. That's where the money comes into camera equipment. Fun experiment!

Hope you had a wonderful make a difference Monday!

Renee and Angela

I think your shots are great. I am always disappointed with mine. What time does the moon rise in California? Thanks for reminding me it is a full moon. Will try to watch tonight.

Oh, wow, Delores! Wonderful and beautiful - I can feel it right through the frame of your photos! Did you feel it? That hush, excitement - "must be magic" feeling?

It's wonderful to be back in Blogland, again!!!!!!!!!!! (although, I have been secretly lurking...=]) Thank you for not forgetting about me!

Love,

Katy Noelle xxo
