Leslie Sinclair is in town!
Fellow blogger, designer, artist, business owner and now author!
Leslie owns Segreto Finishes in Houston, a company specializing in decorative finishes.
Her book, "Segreto, Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors," is due out this month.
She is in town visiting my friend Heather, who is her sister-in-law, so we spent the whole day together.
First, we had lunch at Il Fornaio.
Next, a little shopping. . .
. . .Then to my home and backyard to sit and chat!
We talked about blogging--Leslie also has a blog called Segreto Secrets.
We both find it amazing how she first inspired me to blog, and then I, in turn inspired her to start blogging.
We talked a lot about how important it is for women to support and encourage each other through their creative and professional pursuits.
I'm happy to say that she signed the first copy of her book for me!
Thank you Leslie!
Stay tuned for more information about Leslie's book, including my interview with the author!

It sounds like a fun, relaxing day! You and your friends look really pretty in the lunchtime photo. I liked what Leslie wrote in your copy of her book. I think all your readers would echo the use of the words, "talented and beautiful," to describe you!
Hope you have a great weekend!
I agree with Leslie and Bill ~ you are talented and beautiful. Looks like a fun time. I remember your post on your visit to Houston. Have a great time together!
Sounds like a great day. I totally agree with you about women supporting each other - one of the best things about blogging!! The book looks beautiful and what a lovely (and accurate) inscription!! Look forward to reading your interview!! I always learn so much when interviewing, especially when it is in person. Even the subject's tone of voice and gestures are indicative of their attitude and message!
Your day looked so fun with the girls! We need to definitly get this new book!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Renee and Angela
How very cool. Congratulations on your autographed copy! Have a great rest of the weekend.
Oh, Delores! This is absolutely precious! To meet with someone who is so inspiring - to share the day, the conversation and to welcome her into your home - to be able to give hospitality to her - what a joy and so refreshing for you both, I'm sure!
I'm so happy for you!=]
You are not only surrounded in beauty where you live but even with your friends! How sweet your friend is to have signed the first copy for you!
