Yesterday, I babysat for my favorite "clients!"
While my granddaughters napped, I took the opportunity to do some more staging and a follow-up photo shoot in their new Cost Plus living room.
Remember, it all started with these darling blue damask chairs.
Since then, I've added the bookshelf which is seen in the corner. Perfect for all their children's books!
A lamp that didn't quite go in my house, found a new home between the new chairs.
It was one of those impulse purchases from OKL. So glad it works here!
The end table was yet another Cost Plus purchase. The lamp and tray are from my collection.
Not bad hand-me-downs--right?
I also bought as many kubu wicker baskets as I could find. Cost Plus is phasing these out, so I was lucky to find this one which tucks neatly under the table.
The mantel is simply styled with mercury glass and silver candle holders.
I added a little fall foliage to warm things up.
Opposite the fireplace, I added another etagere, which was needed to complete the media wall, and also provides a lot more storage opportunities.
More kubu wicker baskets and lined chicken wire baskets are ready to hold CDs, books, magazines, etc.
I found this wine box in my garage and thought it would fit perfectly on the bottom shelf, elevating the components to basket height. I love how it adds that unexpected touch.
The blue houndstooth pillows that I ordered from The Foundary were delivered today, just in time for the photo shoot!
Although a little big, they add a punch of color and weight to this side of the room.
In the perfect world, this is how the living room would look!
But we all know that isn't realistic.
This family now has a fresh, new look with lots of storage for the toys and books that belong to these two darling little girls who, as you can see, just woke up from their naps!
All Cost Plus purchases were discounted 25% because we are members of the World Market Explorer Rewards Program.

Beautiful room!!! You did a grate job... the girls are amazing :-)
This is beautiful Delores! I love the colors....it is so warm and cozy! I LOVE that lamp and yes, those hand me downs were fantastic!!
But the best photo is the one of those beautiful little girls!
I love the way you show a room pulled together with things from a store we all shop at. Cost Plus has so much great stuff its hard to imagine a specific look sometimes.
Looks great! I especially love what you did with all the baskets! Tres chic!
Just wonderful...and all from Cost Plus?!
I need to go there more!!!!
What lucky girls to have such a talented Grammy!! It looks great love the TV unit, that turned out perfectly!! Great job, xo
So country yet so modern at the same time. Just perfect for this generation.
It came out fabulous! Cant believe most of it came from Cost Plus. Your grandchildren are so cute!
Everything look wonderful, Delores. You did a great job and nobody would ever guess it was done on a budget. Of course, the look was enhanced by your design talent and great hand-me-downs.
Your granddaughters are so precious.
The reading chair was a great price! it looks comfy too a must. I like that aged looking lampshade. GREAT JOB.
Great job Delores! You created such a beautiful space for them. Anyone would be lucky to have your hand me downs:) Martina
Do you~all ever get stuck re-staging your own home? I NEED a super VIGNETTE styler to bounce off of!
Susan, I just posted a FABulous cabinet on FB I saw this weekend for the master. New hardwood flooring and bathroom maker over with a large steam shower for this one's pain in the plans. It just doesnt blend with the Traditional/beach/Tommy Bahama look going on. Do I change it ALL up just for the cabinet? ahhhhhhhhhh
What a sweet Gramma re-staging your girlz' room. Lil' ones are precious. O, how I love being a Gramma to 7.
Who said you have to spend big bucks to get the look you want? Your makeover proves this statement is untrue! Thanks for sharing this lovely makeover! Hugs
With those little cuties in the house don't forget that the bookcase should be anchored to the wall. And mabe the etages, also.
I love all the storage (baskets) that you worked in for your family. There is never enough places to put children's items...but you have done just that with style! The lamp is a perfect accent piece with the chairs. The addition of the tray just keeps pulling this gorgeous look together. Pillows too large...not when you have little ones in the house. They will be great for extra seating on the floor for those little ladies! All~in~all the smiles of the faces of the children says it all...
I love it all! The pillows pull out the color of the throw- they are a great size for the family and won't look all beaten up everytime someone uses them! The girls are adorable! You did such a great job of pulling it together for them and what great prices! Way to go!!
love every bit of this - so cozy and thanks for the tip on CP phasing out of the baskets. I have admired those and now I know I need to get 'em while I can...donna
The girls are adorable!!!! How blessed you are! Love what you did, it all looks wonderful. How lucky they are to have you and your BEAUTIFUL hand me downs too!Love the color of the blue and the etegers are gorgeous. XO, Pinky
This is a fabulous family living room. I love the pieces.. I remember that lamp! It's perfect in this room. Goes to show that good things always find a home. Simply precious grands! xo marlis

Well done! I am hosting my first linky party, I would love to have you share this! Click on over!!!!!!!!!
it looks wonderful!! I soooo miss World Market- such a great store.
where did you get the great brown patterned rug for their living room?
I could really use something like it
What a pretty and pleasant place to come home to!
Oh everything looks so beautiful. Love the wicker baskets!! I agree the room really does look so inviting!
I have just discovered your blog, its really lovely. Gosh those chairs are so reasonable, I wish that I lived in the USA instead of NZ, it is so expensive here to makeover things. I have just done my bedroom and put old French shutters up behind my bed but it cost me $320 for the pair of shutters then eeek...$190 to hang them :(...turns out the man who came to hang them (The Hangman) charges himself out at $90 per hour so my headboard cost me a lot more than I had imagined.
I will be back to see more makeovers as I love them.
I love the way it came out! I love Cost Plus and get my coffee there and free coffee all the time with the rewards program... Your right. It really is worth it.

You know it certainly pays to buy something that calls to you. Even if you don't know why, where or what you'll do with it. It always works out; it all finds a home. Lovely, homey space!
Can you please tell me where you got the pretty woven shades at the window?
