Several months ago, I found this vintage bread box at an antique store and bought it for the kitchen in Asti. It joins the collection of white enamelware and porcelain that have black lettering.
I just love the simplicity of pieces like this and the farmhouse style they lend to the kitchen.
Last week, I found a few reproduction pieces on eBay.
This little soap holder was only $5, so I bought several.
This one is in the guest bathroom in Asti, holding a few of the many soaps I've collected.
Along with the soap holders, I also found this "Toiletries" holder. Perfect for the guest bathroom at home!
Whether called enamelware or graniteware, these were working pieces in farmhouses in Europe and America. I used to have a white enamel cookware set that we used for camping--that's how long I've been collecting these pieces.
It's nice to find a few hard working reproduction pieces at reasonable prices.
such a quaint little addition!
I love the theme and it looks classic
Great finds D!! If it is black and white and has words on it, I am so THERE!! Love it,
These are wonderful - but doesn't the soap get soggy? I never know the point at which to recycle them, as new cakes of soap look so lovely, and used ones less so...
I love them, too. Plus I love anything with 'lettering' on it.
Oh those are just gorgeous! I love the "soap" one. I just shared my enamelware bread box too LOL
Great finds! LOVE all of them!
You are definitely my kind of girl! Love your bread box as well as your other finds! You are so great at finding just the right thing!
Great little collection.

Great finds! You know I love the black and white, especially if it includes words. Just added another Dundee jar to my group. ;-) ~ Sarah
These are great finds, and great prices are an added plus! I've wanted an enamel ware bread bin for a long time.
