How Much Is That Pot In The Window?

"The one with the beautiful patina?" Asks Mr. A, as we stroll down Royal Street in the French Quarter.
I took him to New Orleans and he is loving the antique stores here!

He spotted these two gorgeous Anduze pots in the window of Antiques de Provence.
I remember seeing them back in January on my girl's trip.

There are more Anduze pots in their courtyard, signed by the artists and very expensive.

They are just gorgeous!

I love their courtyard with all the French pottery...

...and stone fountains.

There are cupboards full of confit pots and dough bowls.
I'm a little excited with their selection, especially the green confits.
They are so rare.

The shop girl set them aside for us.
I love the green confit pots and Mr. A is all about the dough bowl.
Still haven't "pulled the trigger" though.
Perhaps today we will go back and buy one of them.
Which one would you choose?
The dough bowl, the large dark green confit, or the small confit?

It's a hard choice...they're all beautiful. I think I would have to choose the large dark green confit, only because I have a perfect spot for it.

That's a tough one. Maybe the large green one.

Love the large dark green one! All three are wonderful pieces though. :)

Oh, what a choice. I also love the large green one, but think perhaps it would be a good idea to let Hubby make the decision. Sure can't go wrong with the Dough Bowl.

I adore the small green confit... they color is amazing and I think you could do more with it.

Best of luck deciding! Great finds!

I'm no help to you...... I'd bring home the fountain and the Anduze pots. You only go around once.

Hi Dolores,

The antique stores in New Orleans are so fun to walk through. These are all gorgeous. I'd probably go for the large green one:)

Do you have to choose? Isn't there a birthday, mother's day and father's day coming up? I see this as a trio!

I agree with your friends-the large green one! I see it on your kitchen island overflowing with Trader Joe's Peonies which will be in stores soon!!! Mr. A's dough bowl is a very close second-filled also with blooms-Hydrangeas! Or Breads for your next soiree! ENJOY YOURSELVES-you crazy kids!!!

The big green one!

One for you and one for Mr. A! If it were just me it would be the small confit pot, it seems more versatile and would be easy to move to any space in someones home. Have fun!!

Oh what a dilema! I think you both should get something; the dough bowl for Mr. A and one of the pots for you. I can see the dark green one in your house, but I personally LOVE the color of the smaller one. Have FUN!!!!! XO, Pinky

Why make a choice. Take all of them. If you don't, you will be thinking about them once you are home. Think of it as your Easter present and then there is Mother's Day and then maybe your Birthday. ox, Gina

Hi, Delores. I think you may mean Antiques de Provence. What a beautiful shop. If I were to choose, it would be a tian bowl or an oil jar like the ones on the brick patio...or a white confit pot, if they have any. Whatever you choose, be sure to have lots of fun shopping with Mr. A...and enjoy all the wonderful places to dine. Did you try the one in the hotel where "Streetcar Named Desire" was written? Great food and ambiance.

I would choose one of the green confit pots, they are becoming increasingly hard to find. I have been lucky to find fabulous tian bowls in each of my trips to Provence. Two years ago I picked up one at the open market in Miirepoix for 20€! (It had started to pour and the lady was packing up!)

Oh, please….if you are still there go to Magazine Street and explore the shops there! The end of Magazine that is closest to Audubon Park! It's phenomenal!
