Window Shopping and Parisian Storefronts

Paris has the most beautiful store fronts, enticing one to step in and browse.

Whether they are painted faux bois or blue or black, they stand apart from the building they share.

We did our fair share of window shopping too!

I spied this fabulous tartan plaid oxford in a window...

...vintage Hermes in another window.

The owner of this shop was out for lunch...

...and we were desperate to find out the prices of the vintage Chanel in the window.

A beautiful window display in this home decor shop.

And another sweet display in this shop.

I knew better than to go inside!
Dangerous!

Such beautiful macarons displayed in Laudurée window.

And four gorgeous puddings for four tourists with a sweet tooth!

A healthier snack would be fruit, so beautifully displayed here.
Seeing the neighborhoods with their shops and boutiques inspired us.
We talked and brainstormed at length about a little boutique of our own!
Maybe someday....

There's just something so fabulous about the French, a mysteriousness, I think, that constantly calls me to visit there. Someday...

No @Unknown, I didn't buy the tartan shoes. They were 350 euro! Now I wish I had them!

I'm in love with those tartan oxfords. So great with a pair of jeans. 350 euros is a bit pricey though I sure would be tempted. I bought a pair of oxblood coloured shoes in Rome and didn't even look at the price.....until I got the bill. Gulp! The French have such style.

Thanks for sharing,
Joanne

How fun, love Paris, have not been there for many many years.. But gave me a good idea, I think this small town of Fergus Falls has many cute store fronts, maybe I should go out and take pictures?

I'm positively drooling over everything. I'm a sucker for the storefronts. We have nothing like them and they make my soul sing.
Of course stepping inside and doing a little shopping doesn't hurt the soul either. :)

American stores could stand to take a cue from the Parisians when it comes to enticing storefronts! It's all about the curb appeal for houses AND shopping!!! The JC Penney Company is in big financial trouble here in the states, and they could really turn it around if they'd get off that weird, bland look that doesn't appeal to anyone under the age of 125! Same with grocers. Who wouldn't be enticed by the beauty of the fruits displayed like this? Put up a little fruit stand storefront in the cafeterias of schools across this nation that look like this, and we'd have kids who made much healthier decisions about what goes into their mouths!

This is fabulous! SO FUN!!! Wish it was me tagging along on the trip! :-)
