The End Of An Era

I would be lying if I said seeing this sign for the first time didn't make my heart sink.
To be honest, the whole thing has happened so fast that I hadn't prepared for the final result.
After months of hard work--packing and cleaning, painting and staging, we sold our house last weekend.
Just like that!
The good news is we sold it to the perfect family who will treasure our home and raise their family in it just like we did.
And so, we are happy to pass this home on to them.
It is the end of an era but also the beginning of a new one for us.
Stay tuned as we make the transition to our new life!

It was indeed fast, but not surprising! I know how you feel and we have only been in our home 11 years! It is the feeling I had on the last night we were at the farm. I still get teary eyed thinking of that night.

All the best in your new adventure. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Congratulations! So happy you sold your home so quickly. Nothing is worse than having your house on the market for months and months. We just sold our extra home and it was on the market for a year. ( Home my son lived in during College) Very stressful! Plus the insurance was awful since no one lived in it. It always is hard to say goodbye , but time to move on. Wishing you all the very best in your move.

Oh Delores, I know it has been a long, long time since I dropped in. And what a time to visit!
This has been a year of moving on… and wondering what the future has in store for us. A little sad sometimes, and very exciting as well. I wish you well with your move and I'm sure you are heading in the right direction.
Sending love and lots of hugs to you.
One tip… from someone who has just moved … don't get rid of anything that you may regret later. I did… in the rush of the move and there is no going back. Hide it under your bed if you can't decide… at least you can make the decision later when thing calm down.

No surprise that your beautiful home sold quickly, and no surprise that this is bittersweet. How wonderful that a young family will have this abode to raise their children. Lucky for both you and them!

Oh Delores, that chocked up feeling you must have felt, but the journey ahead of you as a S.F urban city girl is so exciting. And we are all going to love this home equally if not more in my case.

Xoxo
Congrats on a smooth quick sale!
