I would be lying if I said seeing this sign for the first time didn't make my heart sink.
To be honest, the whole thing has happened so fast that I hadn't prepared for the final result.
After months of hard work--packing and cleaning, painting and staging, we sold our house last weekend.
Just like that!
The good news is we sold it to the perfect family who will treasure our home and raise their family in it just like we did.
And so, we are happy to pass this home on to them.
It is the end of an era but also the beginning of a new one for us.
Stay tuned as we make the transition to our new life!

Awww... it is sad! But I'm not one bit surprised that your house sold so fast -- it's so beautiful and charming! Looking forward to the future and seeing how you transform your new home!
Wow, that sold fast. Looking forward to the next era.
Congratulations ! Although I know it must feel bittersweet....But change is good, and a new 'season' of life is upon us ! Best Wishes in your new adventures.......
Best wishes on this new chapter in your life!
It was indeed fast, but not surprising! I know how you feel and we have only been in our home 11 years! It is the feeling I had on the last night we were at the farm. I still get teary eyed thinking of that night.
All the best in your new adventure. Can't wait to see what happens next!
thank you so much for this post

Congratulations on the sale of your home to a new family that will love it as you did.
I am very interested in what's ahead. It's fun and exciting!
Congrats! That sold really fast, but it was a lovely home, so I can see why!
Such a beautiful home, I knew it would sell quickly...I'm sure it is a very bittersweet time for you. I'm glad it is going to a family who will treasure it, too! To new adventures!
Congratulations on the sale of your home. I can't imagine moving out of ours. We have been in our home for 23 1/2 years and we still love it!
I know that bitter-sweet feeling. We all knew your beautiful home would sell quickly. Best to you in you next adventure!
Congratulations! So happy you sold your home so quickly. Nothing is worse than having your house on the market for months and months. We just sold our extra home and it was on the market for a year. ( Home my son lived in during College) Very stressful! Plus the insurance was awful since no one lived in it. It always is hard to say goodbye , but time to move on. Wishing you all the very best in your move.
I will miss seeing your old house, but look forward to the new one!
Delores, congratulations as you begin this next chapter; and hugs to you; feeling your loss. It is such a gorgeous home, beautifully decorated! I know you'll put your decorating touch into your new place. Sandy
I can imagine it feels rushed Dolores, but it's better this way, and you have adventure ahead of you! Here's to your new chapter.
Wow! Seems like you just listed it - in fact, Julia's blog featured it yesterday and then it's sold! Exciting!!
Omgosh D! that is wonderful news and I know it is bitter sweet, but how fantastic that it sold so quickly. Cheers to moving onward and upward!! Enjoying the process vicariously through YOU!!

What an exciting time, and wonderful it is going to a family that will treasure it like you did. Can't wait to follow along on your next adventure!
Oh Delores, I know it has been a long, long time since I dropped in. And what a time to visit!
This has been a year of moving on… and wondering what the future has in store for us. A little sad sometimes, and very exciting as well. I wish you well with your move and I'm sure you are heading in the right direction.
Sending love and lots of hugs to you.
One tip… from someone who has just moved … don't get rid of anything that you may regret later. I did… in the rush of the move and there is no going back. Hide it under your bed if you can't decide… at least you can make the decision later when thing calm down.

No surprise that your beautiful home sold quickly, and no surprise that this is bittersweet. How wonderful that a young family will have this abode to raise their children. Lucky for both you and them!

Oh Delores, that chocked up feeling you must have felt, but the journey ahead of you as a S.F urban city girl is so exciting. And we are all going to love this home equally if not more in my case.

I can only imagine. We spend our lives in our home, raise our children, build memories, and then to sell and move is HUGE. I wish you the best in your next adventure.
