We are on our way home tomorrow.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy some of the images from our time in the Chianti region, just outside of Florence.
I'm joining Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.

Hi Delores,
Really beautiful photo's Delores you captured the romance of the country side.
Very dreamy!.
My husband is half Italian and his Italian Grandmother would always tell me Mangia, Mangia Elizabeth!
Maybe that's why I'm so "fluffy" now LOL....
We were in your neck of the wood last weekend. We took my parents to Napa for the wine train.
Safe travels, Elizabeth

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year - especially for going to Italy with the plethora of country foods florishing and the hoards of tourist back in their own homes. My husband and I are slowly planning our one-day purchase of a place in Tuscany and seeing your pics today reminds me why we keep that dream alive!
The photos are just beautiful. I have visited Italy several times and just fell in love with it. Thanks for sharing your photos, you really have a talent for photography.
These pictures speak to me ~ simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing and safe travels!
*** I'm surprised if you'll have any BREATH left to do ANYthing, Delores~~~ (UNintentionally just holding MINE, while looking at all the photos you've shared, has been SO FUN, but it really HAS just "taken my breath away...")!
WELCOME HOME to YOUR very OWN slice of heaven~~~
Hugs,

When I finally get to Italy it will be in early September when they have the Chianti festival in the Greve area.
Such beatuiful photography.

Oh Delores! I have just poured over all the pictures from your trip and they are magnificent! You have such an eye for photography! I know you loved seeing your son and all the sights.
Do you guys speak Italian? We lived in Germany for a couple of years and my in-law's lived in Lazise, Italy near Lago di Garda for two years while we were in Germany. We visited them several times and just loved Italy! We would get tickled when my father in law would say (in English, mind you!) "I am no tourist... I live here!" We could sit in their backyard that looked over the vineyards owned by the Count and Countess that owned their home and watch the fireworks at night from Gardaland. Such fun!
I know you had a wonderful time! Thanks so much for sharing!
So incredibly beautiful! One day I hope to see this in person! Till then I will enjoy your lovely photos!
Simply stunning! One day I'll get there, but until then, thank you for these lovely photos!

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed your beautiful photogaphs...each blog post is more and more lovely. Really, you are an artist with a fabulous eye for framing, knowing what is the most beautiful way to take each shot. All I can say is, keep it up. Your posts are so inspiring, especially for those of us who will probably never get to travel to Italy and other lovely places. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Gorgeous scenery. Some of the photographs would make beautiful paintings.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pictures. La
Oh my gosh, how breathtaking. We went to Italy 2 years ago and took a Mediterranean cruise. It was our favorite place in the world. Unless you've been there, you can't really imagine the sheer beauty of the region. I took over 3,000 pictures. You've inspired me to dig them out and put some of them up on my new blog.

I've recently done a few posts on staying in Italy when I canme upon this post today while poking about - lucky you! Sweet experience and memories I'm sure! Jennifer jennsthreegraces
