Romantic Bathroom Vignettes

Lonny
The bath is another place to display a special collection.
I like the random collection on this tray of mini Chanel perfume bottles, silver brush and wicker covered flask, designed by Laurann Claridge

Here, lotions, potions and fragrances are all corralled on a silver tray.

Country Living
I love this romantic display of crystal and silver with the seashell studded frame in the background. It makes me want to recreate this vignette.

La Dolfina photo
My friend Lisa has quite a collection of sterling and some of it is displayed in her Master Bath.
I like how she carved out space in the wall and lined the shelves with matching black granite.
A perfect place to showcase her collection. She is now on the hunt for a seashell mirror!

Bathroom shelves add more opportunity for display, such as towels, family photos, and bouquets. Design by David Cafiero

Lonny
This shelf rests right on the back of the toilet, housing a nice vignette of black and white and silver, designed by Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar.

I've always admired how Charles Faudree stages his bathrooms with his special objects d'art.

Another Charles Faudree vanity vignette.

To create romance, use crystal and silver containers to hold q-tips and cotton balls.
Think about showcasing it all on a silver tray or crystal cake stand. Design by Carolyn Westbrook.

Country Living
Even a simple vase of flowers adds a special romantic touch. Notice how the brass faucet has been allowed to patina. It looks wonderful with the gold leaf framed mirror.

Here is my personal bathroom vignette. As you can see, I tend to clutter my vanity. It doesn't always look this nice!
The triptych mirror is very old, and I like displaying my necklaces on it. An idea I picked up long ago, inspired by designer Mary Emmerling.

A shelf in my bathroom holds a romantic display of photos from my daughter's wedding.

And of course, what could be more romantic than lavender soap! It's such an indulgence, especially when accompanied by a long soak in a hot bathtub.
Continuing tomorrow, copper and chrome soaking tubs. . .

Oh how gorgeous, especially yours! I love lavender in any form but I buy every bar of a lovely Italian soap I can find whenever the get more at my local Home Sense (your TJ Maxx). It sells online for 28.00 a bar and I get it there for 5.00 each. I am stocking up until the end of time and the beautiful boxes it comes in would look fabulous in a vanity setting.

Delores -
I once worked with a client who found it "too self-indulgent" to put a beautiful vanity in her own bathroom, even though we had just done a very pretty one in her guest bath. I could never figure that one out!!! Isn't a beautiful space that speaks just to you each morning as you arise ten times better than a pill that you have to take to be happy???????? I love this post. It shows a great use of those single crystal glasses or orphan silver pieces that you run across at antique shows and flea markets. They still want to be loved!!!

I love all these beautiful vignettes!! I also have a collection of antique glass/sterling containers. I don't have enough counter space in my bathroom so they are on a dresser in the bedroom with family photos. I also use these types of containers for q-tips etc. on what counter space I have!

I love a beautiful vanity, and silver topped jars and cannisteres are my favorite. Your vignette looks lovely with the fantastic mirror. Now I am ready for that long hot soak.
Bonne weekend,

Gorgeous! I so love your blog ;)) If only my home was chic like yours. Casual Tommy Bahama beach-style home.

Tell your friend our store has "One of a Kind" handmade seashell mirrors. One is on ebay. We have sold over a dozen mirrors this last year as we cannot keep up. We also have heirloom vanity dresser sterling up 4-sale. All under "cynsbeachhouse" or "Cyndy's BEACH HOUSE" ebay store.

It's all so lovely!
So many things I could comment on. Your daughter us gorgeous and her wedding pics look like they were taken for a Hollywood movie.
I love your vanity and I too collect lots of things. No minimalist here, as a blogger Sherry would say!
So many pretty things to look at. I can see I need to spend some time browsing.
