With fall around the corner, I find myself gravitating even more than usual to tartan plaid.
Case in point: this plaid bag I just scored on eBay.
It reminds me of a school bag, and I intend to carry my laptop in it.
The seller said her daughter bought in in Paris a few years ago!
Sounds good to me!
I found this darling hat in Carmel a while back and although I probably won't wear it, it looks good on the hall tree...
...along with this tartan hat that I'm probably not brave enough to wear either!
Tartan on my hall tree!
Next to the hall tree is a little cabinet that holds bar accessories, including this tartan flask from Pottery Barn, last year. You can find a similar one here.
A tartan ice buck that I scored on One King's Lane lives underneath, at the ready for a party!
Another recent find are these handmade fingerless gloves by Moe Munroe.
When I saw the plaid detail and "peace" buttons, I just had to have them.
The other glove says "world."
But what I'm really obsessing about are these faux antler plaques from Horchow.
I love how they are displayed and would love one of each, but must choose one.
Only one!
I'm leaning towards the red tartan.
Which would you choose?
If that's not enough, here are a few more tartan obsessions on my radar:

Your hall tree is amazing! Love the collection of hats....
I'm in the mood to for fall, this heat wave is not helping. I think I would break the bank and purchase all three of the tartan ones. I would love to see them all hanging together.

Delores, this is the second post this morning tempting me with tartan treasures. Great score on the bag! I'm also liking the hall tree with all the great hats. I would definitely wear both those hats. And how did I miss that PB tartan flask last year. I think I need to get regular shopping alerts from you. :-)
Thanks for the morning inspiration!
Delores, I agree with Sarah--send us shopping alerts. I am enjoying my two red urns which I purchased from OKL after you showed us yours! And now I am being tempted by that Vivienne Westwood bag on your radar list. Thank you for the ideas! Linda

I love all things plaid so making a choice between them would be impossible. Love, love, love the fingerless gloves!
Love the gloves!
Great post, I love tartan, I vote for the red tartan, and any pendleton blanket (be sure to visit the outlet store when you come to Portland!)
Yes, your old bamboo hall tree is wonderful. I don't think I could just choose one faux antler! These make such a great assortment, all together. I found some tartan salad plates, to display at the shop this fall. I think they'll go fast!
You're looking good!,
Barbara
I love the red. Such a cozy feeling for fall.
