May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are
meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
~St. Teresa of Avila
Sometimes, we need a gentle reminder that we are exactly where we are meant to be. At least I do!
On this Sunday in March, let's also keep the people of Japan in our thoughts and prayers, and try to send at least $10 to The American Red Cross for the relief efforts. They are accepting donations here.
Delores ~ funny how you are drawn to something when you need it most. Thank you, I needed to read this today. And my thoughts are with the people of Japan...so devastating.
Thank you for this moving message today! Makes us put what's truly important in our lives into focus when we observe (from a distance) the disaster that has changed lives of others forever!
Beautiful and timely post Delores...thank you! The people of Japan are being lifted up in prayers and hearts all over the world.
Thanks for your beautiful post. My prayers are with those in Japan and we all need the encouragement to do what we can to help in other ways.
Much appreciated! Thank you Delores!
Beautifully said! The Red Cross is an amazing organization and I have worked for them in the past..my heart goes out to all the people in Japan.
I love this prayer. We say it often! Your blog is always inspiring.
Warmly, Jennifer aka gigi
Beautiful and full of truth!
Amen- That is the truth...although sometimes we wonder WHY we are where we are at any given time- I do believe we are where we are meant to be. Hugs-Diana
Beautiful and comforting reminder I needed to hear. Thank you for mentioning the Red Cross.
My eyes were blurry having just read an article about the disaster in Japan.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful post, Delores.
thank you for the beauty!
I love this prayer and bELIEVE in it! I pray for all the people of Japan, it is so horrible. God bless them all. Thanks for doing this beautiful post. XO, Pinky
A truly lovely thought and sometimes I forget. Thanks for the jump start for the week. Watching the devastation in Japan has been quite an eye opener once again as to how fast life can change.
I really enjoyed catching up with your blog this evening. I had to laugh at copper tubs -- years ago I had my heart set on one. Builder after builder went away shaking his head and laughing because I wanted that Kallista copper tub. At the time it was $35,000. I thought it would be perfectly reasonable to cut some costs in other places, like not added lots of fancy mouldings and kitchen cabinets, and have that tub! No one agreed with me, and I never did build that house or get that tub. But I still want it.
