Today is Halloween, also known as Dia de los Muertos, and All Soul's Day.
I am reminded of the old cemetery in Cloverdale that has been abandoned for almost a hundred years.
Most of the tombstones are toppled over and broken. It's really quite spooky!
It is very intriguing to visit this deserted place and see the names and dates of the souls who are buried here.
However, I would not want to visit at night! Especially tonight on Halloween!
Wishing everyone a Spooky Halloween!

What a cute post. I am one of those people who like to wander through cemetaries also. So much history to be learned and this one does look spooky. I enjoyed all your posts of your trip. What an amazing time you must have had. Happy Halloween.

I love old cemetaries. This would be a fascinating place to visit...during the day of course. :)~Ames
Well, I knew there were other weirdos like me out there somewhere. I love old graveyards..so much history there..and you can see where whole families were wiped out by some flu or disease that weakened and took them one by one. That graveyard is gorgeous...I would love to walk through it. Hugs- Diana ps...BOO Back!
Oh come on Delores be brave!!
What a lovely old graveyard Delores. And I'm with you...much better to visit it by day than by night!
Happy Halloween!
Kat :)
I am with you Delores I love to look at the dates at grave yards but no way Jose would I ever go at night. I am not one that likes to be frightened, I don't even watch scary movies. I like the cute side of Halloween. Little pumpkins, princes and pirates. Kathysue
WELCOME HOME
Oh it would be great fun to roam this place at night...with a bloggy friend or two of course!
Happy Halloween Delores!
I know you are having a great time in Italy. I've been browsing the beautiful images on your last several posts and cannot wait to get more time to sit down and enjoy each and every one of them with your wonderful stories.

I also enjoy visiting old cemeteries - during daylight hours. :D Some of the very old tombstones are beautiful pieces of art. A cemetery can be a sad, but beautiful place at the same time.
Havee a great week.
a truly delightful post. Old cemeteries are really wonderful. Your photos make this one look eerie and mystical.
Hello girl good morning!!
I did not make those teacup candles, That picture belongs to Napa...I made some years ago for my daughters 4th grade class and they turned out great! they were so easy and I had the kids wrap them in clear wrap with the saucer and a gift tag for Christmas gifts.
Thank you for your visit and interest :)
See you soon dear one with the most beautifully inspiring home!
xoxo

Hi there,
I actually have a morbid fascination for old cemetaries like this. We have a similar one near us.....but, I don't think that I would like to be left there on Hallowe'en !!
Thanks so much for your comment. It was lovely to hear from you. XXXX
Delores -
Welcome home. Loved your posts from Italy. This All Souls' Day post was fabulous. I once helped a friend locate some old graveyards for some photography she does. She made hauntingly beautiful cards from some of the shots. By the way, I lived very close to Mansfield, Ohio (the town on your last gravesite shot). Small world!

Nope, not at night! But I do find old cemeteries interesting. Thanks for sharing more beautiful photos.
Dearest Delores,
You're back home from the old world! Glad to find you here again...
Got back home myself as well, though we only went to the mountains of Tennessee this time.
Yes, All Soul's Day has once again passed and those old cemeteries are certainly intriguing.
Wishing you a great week and lots of sunshine from Georgia,

This is such a classic movie set cemetary. It is just gorgeous, but yes, not at night. My aunt lived on a farm and they had an old cemetary in the woods right by. We were so scared as kids. Eventually everyone was moved into town into the regular cemetary, but I sure remember it.
