Tuesday Inspiration: ABC Carpet and Home

Day two in NYC was so cold and rainy. What to do? Visit ABC Carpet and Home! All six floors!

I could have stayed all day, but three hours was adequate!
We started on the 6th floor and worked our way down. I only wish I had taken more photos!

I love this sofa, actually I have a similar one. I think I'm now going to paint the wood and reupholster it in linen.

A beautiful French chair upholstered with feed sack material.

In fact, there were so many unique and wonderful upholstered pieces and chandeliers.

One of my favorite upholstered pieces was this barstool. Finally, a barstool that I love!

Pending my decision, is this trunk. That's right, I almost bought it!
Caught up in the moment, I had my credit card out and was so close....
I needed to go back home and consider it. Isn't it wonderful?

Wow, thank-you for sharing! I feel like I'm on a mini trip! What a treat! I wouldn't be able to walk out of a place like that without buying something! You better buy the trunk, because once you are all the way back in California it will haunt you! LOL

ABC Home is a fun place to shop and spend the day. We furnished our NY apartment with many items from that store. ;-)
I thought you might still be in NY for the Tartan Day festivities. Will you be sharing some tartan tomorrow? If you have time, stop by HFTS and have a cup of tea and some Campbells shortbread with me. Remember, tartan isn't just for Christmas. LOL

I would go crazy and broke at all the places you are visiting. If you decide you want that cute trunk when you get home, you can just phone them with your credit card and they can ship it to you. I'm having a wonderful time seeing all your escapades in the big apple...thanks and have a wonderful day... Your blog is the best!

LOVE ABC - I park my husband in the downstairs bistro and then work my way from the top and have what is usually a very late lunch, with a very patient husband.

Delores, What a fabulous store! I would spend my entire trip to NYC browsing this store. They would probably throw me out for loitering.
