Your Roses Look Tasty!

While planting the tomatoes a few weeks ago in Asti, I looked up to see this young buck staring at me!

There were two of them.

Luckily, we are completely deer fenced, or they would eat my white Iceberg roses down to the ground. It's like crack for them!

What magnificent creatures though, don't you think?

Delores, I love watching deer. I had one run right by my sunroom yesterday morning while Bailey barked like crazy at it. I was at my mom's today and her neighborhood is full of them. There were four in her front yard and they don't run unless they get spooked. I would have gotten pictures if I didn't have Bailey with me. She scared them off.
Those are some great shots you got.

They really are beautiful creatures. I am all for nature until they mess with my plants!!! We have some beautiful mallard ducks that visit our pool and I enjoy watching them until I see them eating my baby tears and then it is time to shooo them away!!! xo Kathysue

You sure did snap some great pictures of these beautiful creatures. I too love watching them from our back window. Luckily our yard is fenced or we would not be able to garden either.

Those are beautiful photos. I have the same problem. My garden is a salad bar for them! So frustrating!

They are MAGNIFICANT. Any clue as to how to keep them away from roses that don't have a fence?

Hope to see you at Seasonal Sundays.

Great shots of these gorgeous creatures. We don't have deer, but they are a real problem for much of our town. They want to eat everything! ~ sarah

They are such beautiful creatures Delores. We have deer walking through are yard all the time, our development used to be part of an apple orchard and there are still quite a few apple trees so I guess they like to come for their dinner! We keep our deer fencing up all year too. Martina

They are magnificent creatures! Somehow, despte my passion for protecting the environment, I married a guy who loved to go deer hunting. And every other kind of hunting.

I didn't make the same mistake on my second marriage! ;)
