Lilac Time

"I am thinking of the lilac trees,

That shook their purple plumes,

And when the sash was open,

Shed fragrance through the room."
~Mrs. Anna S. Stephens, The Old Apple Tree

Because lilacs are one of my favorite things, I'm joining Laurie at Bargain Hunting with Laurie for Favorite Things Saturday!

My favorite bloom (along with peonies)!! Nothing says spring like their fragrant scent wafting through the house!

Your lilacs are gorgeous and I'm jealous. I haven't had much luck growing the tall varieties this far south. I do have a Miss Kim lilac, which is loaded with buds almost opening, so I'm happy with that. Love your table arrangement. Have a great weekend.

Not only are your lilacs gorgeous, but the table vignette with the burlap runner and all those grand candlesticks is truly yummy. I can just imagine the exquisite fragrance. ~ Sarah

Delores, no matter what you do, you do it with such style. Your lilacs are beautiful, and I LOVE what you have them in on the table. Your burlap runner is the perfect contrast for the lilac bouquet. laurie

Love the table with the burlap runner and the unusual vase for your lilacs, very lovely contrasts, love the whole vignette! We have just had the crocus come up here, tulips & daffodils to follow, so I am longing for the scent of lilacs!
